The Secret Service took nearly a year to answer Judicial Watchs December 2015 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for documentation on all assets reported missing since 2001. Judicial Watch made the request as a part of a larger investigation.-------------------This happening during Obama's wathc!

I’m pretty sure Obama wasn’t president in ‘02.

More assets were lost or stolen in fiscal year 2004 than any other year 1,362, most of which were uncategorized. Okay, then. An addendum to my previous post:
Have they checked under the sofa cushions at the Bush ranch?

I believe the guns were lost in boating accidents on the Potomac.

....”badges” may include the “lapel pins” issued to those other than actual USSS agents. Military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), White House Communications Agency , Augmentee FLEAS & LEOS, Local and DOD K9, Tech Services Division etcetera.
Same applies to vehicles. 90% of vehicles used by USSS missions are local rentals. Yeah they get stolen. Then there is the Radios. My era they were Moterola Saber III’s with DES and yes they were lost and stolen or just not turned in for what ever reason.
The current USSS chief cook and bottle washer is an asshole of the nth degree and deserves all the grief he can be punished with .
I’m not excusing the losses just letting all know during my era such losses were routine . Except for the sidearms lost. Wasn’t a bullet catcher so wasn’t issued one in tech services division .
Loosing a firearm in my job was like loosing a member of my own family. Theft of firearms locked in hotel rooms or rental cars and even checked baggage if not flying on official duty etcetera was common but rare.

Did they lose their car while shopping at Walmart.
I’ve done that a few times...embarrassing.

It's odd...in my life I have never misplaced, lost track of, lost or had stolen any of the numerous firearms I've owned. (Except for that one silly and unfortunate boating accident)
Yet every 6 years I have to apply for a permit to simply own one let alone carry one. These apes are given one without so much as a "How do you do" and then lose them with no consequences other than an "Oops".

Secret Service? Let’s see....
Gun left in toilet at brothel.
Gun slipped out unnoticed between bed and wall in hooker’s hotel room.
Traded car for drugs.
Loaned car to hooker, but she never came back.
Pants with badge on them stolen while asleep in hooker’s hotel room.
