...said no woman about her husband. Ever.
From what I understand they used a certain ash high in sulfates that when wet would decompose into sulfuric acid easily.
I’ve seen it personally how it rots copper in houses built with it.
“Disgusting”
The thing is there was a housing price boom after the hurricanes..so the developers were raising the prices of homes and condos...all the while they were scamming their costs down with illegals. I hope they sue the clothes off them!!
I pray they are still around to sue.
At 48, I wont ask the naive question “how can you do this to another person?”
They are LOOONG gone
That sucks.
.
Thank you Richard Nixon!
We need more Chinese crap!
.
Seems to me like they didn’t end up using the FEMA trailers in NOLA because of issues with the insulation which came from China. Don’t remember the details but it was a big joke about all the money the government used and then ended up trashing the temporary housing.
More top quality goods from China. To other countries they still send drywall that contains asbestos, self-certified asbestos free.
Workers comp, the biggest scam in the construction industry ever. Charge employers $4 an hour, pay out a miniscule amount. I am quite sure that for $640 a month, a man can have insurance to secure his life, or that of his families forever after an incident.
Does this mean I should stop licking my wall..?
But it tastes so ymummy... sweet and sour...
My mother died from lung cancer when she had a clean chest x-ray 8 months earlier. Of course, she had smoked all her life and had heart problems.
“IF IT DID NOT HAVE SULFUR IT WOULD NOT BE GYPSUM!”
but it’s NOT supposed to be contaminated with free elemental sulfur, which was the big problem with the poisonous Chinese drywall.
They had a problem here in the Philippines with Chinese baby formula a few years ago. Come to find out, after a few babies died of malnutrition, that most of the product was basically sawdust. You buy cheap Chinese products, you get cheap Chinese products, unfortunately a lot of businesses are about the bottom line, not the quality.
I seriously doubt that he got cancer in less than a year. A carcinogen that powerful would affect a lot of people, not just one person.
Why do people continue using Chinese walls? Is it for quality? Granted, the 5,000-mile-long Great Wall, often regarded as the ultimate man-made fortification, has endured over five centuries; but the standard home mortgage term in the US is only 30 years! Is it for economy? Sure, China’s currency manipulation makes for relatively cheaper walls, but at what price?
In the last two decades alone, trillions of dollars of wealth have been wiped out, in part, because of Chinese walls. To avoid conflicts of interest, investment banks installed Chinese walls to separate the advisory and brokerage sides of the business. What happened? The Dot-Com and Subprime-Mortgage crises revealed what Mongol hordes discovered centuries ago: Chinese wall construction is overrated.
Architecturally, Chinese walls create all sorts of headaches. In China, the average height of the population is 5 ft 6 in; but in the US, it’s 5 ft 9 in, so the scale is all wrong! Not much difference, you say? Well, a three-inch gap between the top of the wall and the roof lets in a lot of weather — it rains, and now you have Chinese wetwall! In Mexico, where the average population height is only 5 ft 5 1/2 in, Chinese walls created the opposite problem, a problem seized upon by E. E. Hall who, in 1923, was granted the patent for the dropped ceiling.
It’s always best to buy your walls locally. Just remember to save your receipts, in case you do drop the ceiling.
