An Arrogant and Lazy Presidency (Factual and very true)
American Thinker ^ | November 15, 2016 | Steve Feinstein

It's safe to say that there has rarely, if ever, been a president more absolutely sure of the utter and total correctness of his positions than Barack Obama. While outward humility and the intentional display of human hesitation have long been staple behavioral facets of virtually every first-rate high-level communicator as he tries to connect with (and win the support of) his constituency when making difficult decisions, words such as "I've really struggled with this" or "I've thought long and hard about this one" seldom seem to emanate from President Obama's lips. Instead, complete self-assuredness bordering on smug, condescending arrogance has been the hallmark of his demeanor.

His "signature domestic achievement" – The Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") – was brought into existence only by an arcane budgetary trick pulled off by then-Senate majority sycophant Harry Reid. After winning a Massachusetts Senate seat in January 2010, Scott Brown became the "41st senator," the one who would complete a Republican filibuster and prevent the ACA from becoming law.

But the ACA per se was never voted on by the full Senate, and Brown never got the chance to play his role as the 41st Senator in a filibuster. Sparing everyone the long, sorry, detailed saga, Reid managed to get the ACA to be dependent on a Senate vote under reconciliation, a budget technicality that requires only a simple majority of 51.

Hats off to Reid. It was brilliant political maneuvering. Arguably the most sweeping, significant domestic policy in U.S. history, Obama's ACA was implemented without a single Republican vote in either the House or Senate. Never has policy of such magnitude been passed without having convinced even one member of the opposition party of its worth and thus have any opposition support. Not one Republican vote.

I saw snippets of his "press conference" yesterday - full of condescension towards Trump and the American people.

January 21st cannot come soon enough.

Much truth in this article.

Reverse all the Obama effects, and go much further.

Get a solid literalist Supreme Court for the first time since 1937! So much bad law to reverse and repeal!

Humility and admitting you may be wrong must be “white privilege”.

Obama is beyond that. Behind half-black he is beyond reproach. (I wish I was being sarcastic; but that’s what blacks and liberals apparently believe)

Why bother to focus on this twit? Last time I checked, he's about 65 days away from has-been status. ;)

Let's focus on the positive changes that God can bring to our nation.

The lamest of all lame ducks, ever. Perhaps, as a narcissist he can take some comfort insofar as, for once, he has truly excelled at something. Jimmy Carter is very pleased.

Obama was trying to warn Donald Trump that there is more to the presidency than meets the eye.

What Obama doesn’t understand is that Trump is a working man. He likes to work and does so. Obama being an AA AA slacker eschews work so work becomes work.

Being Obama, he doesn’t understand that the transition for Trump is exchanging work for work rather than the transition from a salaried position to actual work.

Obama is said to miss briefings and didn’t read the daily intelligence report. Trump will learn the acronyms and jargon and understand aoll those big words. It will be a challenge. Obama doesn’t understand and never accepted the challenge

I just don’t think there is an avenue to a better outcome for the Rats by his pardoning anyone.

Actually, there were a few others who made major contributions to the crash. Ted Kennedy, I think. But if I had to pick only one, I would lay it at the feet of Barney Frank.

Arrogant, lazy AND sloppy.

This has been our ‘affirmative action’ President in every sense of the term.

Nothing in his ‘education’, background, or experience (such as we were permitted to KNOW) recommended him to the Presidency... NOTHING.

And-Every single thing he did and said was justification of his lack of fitness for the position.

Even NOW, in possibly the final opportunity he may have to do something RIGHT and show some class, he ought to step forward and explain to the poor losers that it's time to ‘grow up’. But he is incapable of any act or statement THAT large! He's been a totally inept, small, laughably earth-bound simpleton.

There are some parallels to The Lord of the Rings, with Obama playing the role of Sauron. He was blind to the possibility that Trump, as Frodo, would destroy the ring and cause his "legacy" to come crashing down at the end. Everything made with the power of the ring, which would be Obama's Executive Orders, would collapse.
