In an interview Sunday with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” President-elect Donald Trump said he is pro-life and would appoint pro-life judges, adding that if Roe v. Wade is overturned, “it would go back to the states.”
“They’ll be pro-life,” Trump said about the judges he would appoint. “They’ll be in terms of the whole gun situation, we know the 2nd Amendment and everybody’s talking about the 2nd Amendment, and they’re trying to dice it up and change it. They’re going to be very pro-2nd Amendment, but having to do with abortion, what it—if it ever were overturned, it would go back to the states, so it would go back to the states,” Trump said. …

I can just imagine Bush 41 and Bush 43 both answering the question with “I have no litmus test.”
Nothing new in the headline. He said the exact same thing in debate 3 and rallied before that.
But the headline stipulates that he said it to 60 Minutes, and their representative Leslie Stahl. AFAIK, that is new in particular.
Trump’s heart is at least in the right place. But he doesn’t seem to understand the reason that the Founding States established constitutionally enumerated rights, the states having never amended the Constitution to expressly protect the fictitious constitutional “right” to have an abortion.
Trump consequently doesn’t understand that he’s looking at a major constitutional scandal concerning Roe v. Wade imo, state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices having stolen 10th Amendment-protected state powers, using those stolen powers to wrongly legislate the so-called “right” from the bench to have an abortion.
