“This sounds strange.
Disinformation?”

That is my take. So much disinformation being put out by the press. The press continues to be despicable.

Good. I don’t care what the reason is. Christie hugging Obama on the beach just before the 2012 election was all I needed to know about that highly political slob.

I agree. The Rule of Law has to apply to everyone. Including Nixon, and especially The Beast, since she's earned her place in Hell as far as I am concerned.

BTW, I am a huge fan of the other "Donald."

Christie is a NYC/NO quasi lib RINO, Right relative to the jurisdiction but Left relative to the country. There’s too much baggage. The bridge scandal was a last straw.

Even though C. Kushner was guilty and most likely deserved prison, I am in agreement with Trump and Jared K. Living with the ramifications of Christie’s policies, taxes, and lack of job growth in this state has been difficult for my extended family.

He’s inept and dishonest IMHO. Though he was loyal to Trump, it doesn’t excuse the fact that he’s a terrible executive for this state. He should go back to practicing law if he doesn’t get disbarred.

How long will the convicts of Bridgegate be in jail?

I don’t care why Krispy Kreme is getting the cold-shoulder, but it’s just another sign that Trump has good judgment. His Second Amendment views should have been enough to get him booted.

Christie did not have enough voter influence to help win New Jersey for Trump. Christie did help Trump significantly during the primary and the presidential campaign. I have mixed feelings about Christie. There may still be a role for him in a Trump administration.

True, but Bridgegate doesn’t come near the level of a Benghazi or the Uranium One sell out. Our media blows the perspective and makes Christie, because he is Republican, to appear worse than he is. It was a stupid stunt but not damn treason, and nothing to immolate his career over. If they could have proved Christie was involved he would have been wearing stripes, but they couldn’t.

Christie was up front with his endorsement of Trump, when no one but Sessions said yes. It was a big help for Trump at that time and it was remembered. Even while Bridgegate was going on.

I hear what you are saying and agree that Bridgegate pales in comparison to Behghazi, etc. However, people under Christie are going to jail and have had their lives ruined for what pretty much amounts to a conspiracy to "get political revenge" on behalf of Christie by shutting down a bridge and inconveniencing thousands of motorists.

I think there is plenty of stupidity all around for those involved in this stunt. I find it very hard to believe that they would have done this without Christie being aware and being at least somewhat okay with it.

I come from a military background where the captain takes responsibility for his ship. Many a naval career has been ruined on account of subordinates doing something stupid.

Christie has too much baggage.

Not to mention, he's wearing all of it under his suit.

WSJ had an interesting paragraph where ALL Christie preferred appointees are purged. I personally know one who was all but leaving a firm and headed to DC, only to do an abrupt 100% about face. I mean, abrupt. Close ties to Christie. May be, DT kept Christie close, in order to be fed such a list from him, to uncover the den of snakes. After all, hw conservative and trustworthy can an R be, from NJ...
