No, Donald Trump did not abandon promise to repeal Obamacare
BREITBART ^

The mainstream media are reporting that President-elect Donald Trump is givinHe’s not alone: those are some of the only parts of the law that are popular, and many Republicans have long since promised to preserve coverage for those with pre-existing conditions even after Obamacare is repealed.

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI), for example, proposed a replacement for Obamacare in April that would cover people with pre-existing conditions by moving them into state high-risk pools.g up on his promise to repeal and replace Obamacare, because he said he would be willing to preserve coverage for pre-existing conditions and allowing children to stay on their parents’ health insurance until age 26.

In 2013, Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) proposed to repeal and replace Obamacare, introducing the “Empowering Patients First Act,” which provided for those with pre-existing conditions. “[T]o make sure no one is priced out of the health insurance market because of a pre-existing illness or injury, the Empowering Patients First Act provides for the creation of robust pooling plans that would ensure that any one person’s health status does not increase his or her costs or the costs of others in the same pool,” he wrote at the time.

Coverage for pre-existing conditions, and coverage for young people, are relatively minor parts of the overall architecture of Obamacare. Conservatives have long been willing to accept such provisions as compromises, the better to shore up political support for dismantling the system as a whole.

Trump merely stated the obvious.

Trump always states the obvious, and the media always reports it as a complete surrender and admission of deep error on Trump’s part.

I hate the media.

We need to unify behind Trump the way the left would be unifying behind Hitlery if she were elected.

It’s a bit mindless, but necessary at this juncture.

Otherwise the media, dems and rinos will chip away and kill this movement before anything gets done.

Pre-Existing conditions were covered under Kennedy-Kassenbaum aka HIPPA
in 1994.

The battle against the Clinton crime family is won but the battle against the socialist media, George Soros, and voter fraud still burns bigly.

One of Trumps problems is going to be dealing with the alphabet soup. He needs to bring alt-media into the white house press office and hold the faux media at bay. After a couple of months accept applications for credentials from “real journalists” bring a few in and put them and their networks on probation.

The penalties have to go,health savings accounts, buying insurance across state lines, getting rid of the Independent payment advisory board,or better known as the death panel.Regulations on businesses on the number of employees.
Forcing people to pay for maternity care if they are 60 year old males.
Keeping your kid on your insurance until 26,who cares if you want or have to carry your kid and can afford it,go ahead who cares.
Healthcare has never been a problem in this country,ITS ALWAYS BEEN THE COST OF HEALTHCARE,that has been the problem Government involvement in this or anything else has never made anything cost less.

Here’s hoping Trump gives it to the media with both barrels during the SOTU. The American people need to be told to do their own research because of how corrupt or media has become.

Pre-Existing conditions were covered under Kennedy-Kassenbaum aka HIPPA in 1994.

Yeah, the proper mechanism to deal with that is: High Risk Pools.

Fogetabout "Guaranteed Issue" that's what jacks up premiums.

They must totally REPEAL it and bury it deep. The word “Obamacare” can’t be anywhere near whatever new program they come up with ... else it will become Obamacare II and, if it is successful, will give Obama the Legacy. Full Repeal is the ONLY way to get rid of the “brand.” (Ryan’s idea of gutting it and fixing it WILL NOT WORK!).

The media is trying to start trouble. We should support DT no matter how he chooses to go about his presidency. We are lucky to be in this situation. And if we get a good Supreme court, a wall, infrastructure jobs, normal immigration, and a fixed health care system I think we are huge winners.

CNN and MSNBC want us to start infighting. Don’t bite. We don’t need this before that. We don’t need perfection. We need the things he repeated at every speech and he can do right away without trading away anything.

We are like a big sumo wrestler against a smaller one. We just need to keep our position and we have to win. Don’t divide into teams, don’t demand perfection, don’t demand certain things before other things. We have a great chance to get most of everything we want. Just stick together.

Coverage for pre-existing conditions, and coverage for young people, are relatively minor parts of the overall architecture of Obamacare.

Nonsense.

The only reason there's a mandate to have coverage is the pre-existing condition exclusion.

Anyone who thinks the mandate isn't key to the ACA architecture should not be allowed to write for publication, even for Breitbart

That sounds wonderful. Describe how it works.

There were problem with our old healthcare system, and they needed to be addressed. However, that. Old have happened without the govennment taking over the whole damn system.

In repealing and replacing 0bamacare, those issues still need to be addressed.

Some states had high risk pools before Obamacare and they worked fine. Maryland is an example. This is not a new concept.

Or 68 year old females who had the good sense to have a Tubaligation after the second C Section. The baby factory went away in my 40’s.

If I need a GYN they won’t take me, no profit, If I want a mammo there are women centers that do just that. I have to see a URO/GYN for anything else.

What I want and need is for my SPECIALISTS to be able to prescribe pain med with out fear of being sent to jail. Pain Management is mental health BS new layer DUMBO forced on us. NO PAIN PILLS FOR GRANNY, they don’t know a thing about the disease they are prescribing pain meds for. And at 68 I don’t need to pee in a cup every month like a street JUNKIE, or see my Primary every 3 months for a new Valium script. Been on it 8 yrs, needs increasing as 4 new neuropathy nerve pains have been added from pinched nerves in the neck/back that their Meds DESTROYED and Physio damaged. I can stop the Valium on a dime if I want to live in PUKE level pain. As the current dose is insufficient to handle all the additional nerve pain, best I can get is a level 7 from a PUKE level. My hands burn like you stuck them in boiling water, worse than my feet do.

The restrictions include Cancer and Military wounded patients.

Crestor was made the #1 statin due to a slick multi-million $$ ad campaign, it is very costly, has more side effects than the older Pravastatin which has a generic at a fraction of the cost of Crestor. They are doing the same thing with LYRICA and expanding it’s use to other none related areas. HIGHLY ADDICTIVE, horrid side effects. Loss of Libido, weight gain, hair loss, are just a few. 1 Lyrica tab means an ER trip for me.

Reevaluation of vaccines and other drugs the FDA has FLAGGED as dangerous needs to be part of the equation.

REAL patients need input.

Trump said he would repeal Obamacare in its entirety. That does NOT mean removing all coverage provided under Obamacare, but doing it differently. We once again have a case of the media believing their own lies.

I am just waiting for the headline claiming Trump had gone back on his repeal pledge because his plan includes people having health insurance.
