Any Freepers making plans to go to DC for the week of Trump's Inaugural?
Please share your knowledge of what to expect.
I am not but I will go there soon with one stop being Fort marcy Park. I also plan to go see the Library of Reagan.
Remember the photos of the aftermath of Obama’s inauguration.
They bring in police officers from around the entire country (all 57 states for any of you Obama fans out there) to assist.
I have not been to one before however.
Not going there, but will be taking that day off to watch the proceedings. First time I’ve ever done that.

Very expensive hotel tariffs anywhere within a 100 mile radius of the swamp. Long lines at security check points. It will (probably) be cold. For some idiotic reason people thought January would produce better weather than March for inaugurations. Dress warmly. Lots of moonbat lefties protesting. Probably enough that if they surveyed the population of DC on January 20th they would likely conclude that the average IQ of the population was borderline imbecile. Nightmarish traffic and insanely expensive parking. Plan on relying on public transportation.
I love to be there! Any of my CT friends, if you have an extra seat in your car or want to take train together, or anything like that.... count me in, I can handle the cold NO PROBLEM, would love to witness it!
I know. It is another trip that is on my bucket list. As is Fort Marcy Park.

Our Tea Party is taking a red eye special (we sleep on the bus).
It’s leaving from Mansfield, Ohio, in the late evening hours of 1-19 and will return in the early morning hours of 1-21.

An inaugural is like a football game, better on the big screen than live.
DC and Maryland are laden w/speed cameras. In MD it'll run you $40, but in DC can be over $200.
Red light cameras too, some will catch california stops for right on red.
DC also is big on not having an intersection blocked when lights change. Some cameras for that now too I think.
They also have a 5 cent tax on those flimsy bags at the store. Don't be shocked and hold up the line.
Much better to stay in Virginia. It'll even honor your concealed carry permit.
