* It was a frugal campaign, thanks to ZH we have a sense of the numbers, looks like 50 cents on the dollar or less.
* Team Trump went after:
* States Bernie Won.
* States the Left/Obama/Clinton payed lip service too, aka the Rust Belt with their policies.
* But the one that got me was she never went to Wisconsin and it surprised the heck out of me.
* It was almost Mary Matalin / Bush 2000 in the sense that they know the can't get over the NY/CA popular vote crush, so they go Electoral which is the game anyhow.
* Totally asymmetrical campaign, new media, no RNC money, and the Rally's....
This guy threw all this is how it is done-isms out the friggen window and won and their beeber is stunned...
They just can’t count the money Clinton raised and spent, they have to include the hundreds of millions raised and spent by all her Super PAC’s. Combined, I’m betting that her campaign plus PAC’s spent over $1 BILLION. There were a couple of Super PAC’s supporting Trump, but their total expenditure probably didn’t come to more than $100 MILLION. He was out spent in ads along by 50 to 1 in some places, including Florida.
I think Mainstream Media is finished. Of course, if Trump and the Republicans in Congress were to prop up the media and treat people like Katie Couric as important and influential pundits, then the MSM would continue on as usual. But I do not expect this to happen.
Media outlets that lie or treat the administration unfairly should be frozen out. Rude interviewers should be dismantled. Trump, Newt, KellyAnne and others have shown how this is done.
Twitter, Facebook and other social media apps are less centrally controlled and should be emphasized. Major newspapers like the NYT and Boston Globe should be put out of business — not by government fiat, but simply because there is no good reason to read them.
The Leftist propaganda industry has to be killed.
What sHrillary did was buy her way out of a landslide defeat of Mondale or Carter proportions. And for that, it was an important investment for the left. She won a country still evenly divided and ready to reopen the playbook on how to kill a presidency a la the Pelosi/Reid devastation of GWB. She avoided a country unified against the disastrous "hope and change" legacy of Øbama.
Also note well all the talk of a smooth transition. This is setting the stage for the all-important Øbama pardon to "set all the divisiveness behind us and go forward." The only movement for sHrillary to go forward would be forward to Federal prison. Methinks she bought her way out of that possibility.
but the dogs won’t eat it...
I maintain that politicians are generally clueless about getting anything done and do not understand the business of politics any better than they understand the business of business.
The real estate guy from NYC cleaned their clocks. What does that say about the skillset of the people want think they should rule the world?
Wonder if her contributors are feeling like chumps, pondering all the Good Life those dollars could have insured for them and their families.
Their gamble didn’t pay off and they could just as well have blown it all in Vegas.
The funniest pic I saw was Dailymail showing Obola’s staff with that oh so sorry sorry look like “Oh shit, now I’m going to have to get a real job.” Valerie Jarret’s somber look was best.
Think of all that money back in circulation!
Isn't it amazing what one does when spending one's own money?

It wasn’t ‘for nothing’.
She currently is slightly ahead in the total vote. Had those votes been distributed just slightly different in several states, she would have won.
That she spent nearly twices as much is also a red herring. In the primaries, several GOP wannabes spent more than Trump. Trump, however, had a long history of being a celebrity, so he had name value that none of the political wannabes had. That threw a monkey wrench into both the primary and general election polling and statistics.
If/when those who control the election ever finish counting and posting the results, we will get a more accurate picture. Currently, we do no know the total votes cast nor the distribution of some 31* remaining Electoral votes.
The popular vote total does show one thing: we are a divided nation. Each major candidate got almost exactly the same percentage of votes — Trump 47.5% to Clinton 47.7% out of about 119 million.

* CNN has adjusted the EV totals — Trump 290 to Clinton 232, with MI still undetermined.
