Voter support for marijuana legalization reached a new high as California, Massachusetts and Nevada approved recreational pot, joining four other states and Washington, D.C., with similar laws.

Voters in Florida, North Dakota and Arkansas passed medical marijuana measures, pushing the number of states with such laws past two dozen.

The California vote makes the use and sale of recreational cannabis legal along the entire West Coast and gives legalization advocates powerful momentum. Massachusetts is the first state east of the Mississippi to allow recreational use.

How much of the new support of MMJ is due to 0 restricting pain meds and making Granny pee in a cup every month at another useless doctor called Pain Management, when the specialist should be in charge of their pain meds? Many belief it re-leaves pain. Or been conned into thinking so. This even includes Cancer patients and war wounded. Many diseases are incurable but can be managed to a semi-normal life with the right pain meds. Even Neurotin is going on the list next year, look for Lyrica and Cymbalta to follow as they are similar very addictive drugs. The last 2 are big money makers for Big Pharma, over sold, under perform.

States with legal marijuana saw a marked drop in the use of prescription painkillers. Big Pharma is not pleased.
