Marijuana wins big on election night

Voters in California, Massachusetts and Nevada approved recreational marijuana initiatives Tuesday night, and several other states passed medical marijuana provisions, in what is turning out to be the biggest electoral victory for marijuana reform since 2012, when Colorado and Washington first approved the drug's recreational use.

Of the five recreational marijuana initiatives on the ballot, three passed and one more — in Maine — was leading early Wednesday in preliminary vote totals. A similar measure in Arizona was trailing with 68 percent of votes counted.

On the medical side, voters in Florida, North Dakota and Arkansas have approved medical marijuana initiatives. A separate measure in Montana that would loosen restrictions on an existing medical pot law was leading early Wednesday with only 30 percent of votes counted.

Now, maybe the pot heads will go to other states instead of Colorado.

Not yet here in Arizona but that's because many legalization proponents did not want that particular bill. Apparently it was some kind of corrupt bill to seize marijuana power and money to give to a few.

However, it still might win because "pot leaders" have a hard time informing their constituents, who are like; "Whoo-whoo! Legalize! Yeah! Give me a Snickers! Whoo-hooo!"

It was a small government win all around last night. The amount of butthurt on talk radio (mostly liberal in my parts) is amazing. And fun!

Good. We have worse problems to deal with than hunting people down and jailing them forever just for having a little toke.

I didn’t approve of doing this by amendment in FL but almost 60% of us voted for it last time around. Tallahassee didn’t heed the will of the people so we did it the only way we could.

To the prohibibionists who think it was a crime when we discovered that cannabis oil was the only thing that offered relief to my father as he was dying of bone cancer, glad you finally lost and fuck you in the ass with a rusty railroad spike.

It was the highlight of my time in the booth.

My mother was a prosecutor for the state of FL and you did NOT want to come up against her on a drug charge. Most people who become prosecutors do it to advance a political career. She did it to lock up druggies.

And the drug warriors turned her into one of the criminals she used to lock up when she had to care for her dying husband. So really, fuck them in the ass with a rusty railroad spike.

I don’t want nanny state gun grabbers nor nanny state drug warriors. It’s possible to oppose more than one kind of failed and foolish big government program.

Well sounds like they need to develop a plan for medical marijuana prescription. In the interim, my guess is that Trump will let ICE & the FBI & also the DEA do their job; in the case of the DEA the pot industry in California, Colorado, etc. will do their job.
