Republicans took the lead in early voting in Colorado at the end of the day Friday and held the advantage through the weekend despite robust Democratic get-out-the-vote efforts.
The latest early voting numbers released Monday morning show registered Republicans cast 652,380 ballots compared to 645,020 registered Democrats a 7,360 vote advantage. The breakdown looks like this: 35.2 percent Republican, 34.8 percent Democrat and 28.5 percent unaffiliated.
Its worth noting that not all Republicans are voting for GOP nominee Donald Trump just like not all Democrats are supporting party nominee Hillary Clinton. But the early voting is a potential sign of party organization and voter enthusiasm.

what was the GOP lead last time?
Not only good for Trump, but hopefully a good indicator in the SZenate race there.

Does it matter? Early voting could be cannibalizing some of the Election Day voting. No one knows for sure. I would say I would rather stick with the polls, but most of them are heavily biased and/or flawed.
no, as I heard it the other day from a Freeper, repubs did lead Colorado early vote last time
“In-person early voting began on Monday in Colorado, while absentee voting started ten days ago. Republicans have a slight lead of around 5,500 in ballots cast. That amounts to a 1.7 percentage-point lead. In 2008, when Obama won Colorado, he had a 1.8 percentage-point lead in the early vote when the final tally was made.
Republicans claimed in a memo this week they have the advantage, with a lead of 10,000 in overall votes cast plus absentee ballots requested. But it’s still too early to tell who might come out on top. In 2008, 1.7 million voters cast their ballot early and as of Wednesday, only 326,000 had done so. And a large portion of Colorado voters are unaffiliated with either party, so it’s almost impossible to tell how they voted.”
I believe the independents will break heavily for Trump.
The big decided is how unaffiliated will vote.
ah good news then!
need more Trump voters!
need more Trump voters!
to overcome D voter fraud especially in Denver/Bolder...etc.
and we need really well trained poll watchers ...
Trump will win if we can stop the fraud!
That may be, but Obozo won it easily............Pot was on the ballot. Now pot is in the streets................
There! Fixed it.
Mr Trump may thank me for two of those votes for him. I pleaded, I begged, I presented all the reasons not to leave the Presidential spot blank. Finally the two grudgingly voted for Trump. Imagine if every Trump voter could have persuaded just 2 NeverTrump people to vote for Trump.
Thank you!.....................
Hopefully the Dems are too stoned to vote. If this turns out to be true, I may change my position on the legalization of marijuana. ;)
To call this early voting is a little misleading. Colorado is an all mail voting state, so many people mail their ballot in advance or drop it in a lockbox, as I did. Nevertheless, if you really want to vote on election day you can go to a voting center and fill out a ballot.
Odd....................
LOL!!...............
It’s on the ballot here in FL!.................
