Nonprofit dark money groups have doled out about half of the funds fueling Maines five citizen-initiated ballot questions in November.
They include former New York Mayor Michael Bloombergs Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, the National Rifle Association, national and state teachers unions, the Marijuana Policy Project and nonprofits supporting ranked-choice voting.

-—don’t know what Bloomberg is pitching up there in your part of the state but I suppose it’s the same as here-—straight lying on “close the gunshow loophole”——
Yup. No criminal will EVER get a gun again and there will NEVER be anymore domestic violence. (no mention of the toddler gangland shootings) Kinda the way the petition assclowns presented it to mostly women. I think they’ve chunked in excess of $3 million to push it while the forces of light and goodness have managed around $30,000 to fight it. Now the nra and GOA are at least putting some ads out. I think only two of the state sheriffs support it. Poorly written, no mandates for funding investigations etc.
—yep—to my surprise the Clark County sheriff has stayed neutral but several underlings have appeared in the Bloomberg ads-—
Seen those ads. The Washoe County sheriff has appeared in the VOTE NO ON 1 ads. Thanks Chuck Allen. His predecessor and his “under sheriff” are corez mantos sycophants and they also back Question 1. We shall see. It will sure be sweet if we can turn it down.
