While, as a parent, I can understand the pain of the loss that these parents are suffering, as a normal person with a moral compass that is pointed in at least the correct general direction, I find it hard to garner much sympathy.

I’m probably not a better shot than you, but I put 3 rounds into the center of the chest of a Viet Cong during a firefight and it wasn’t enough. After that I only tried for head shots.
