Complaints of syringes and feces rise dramatically in SF

More and more, it seems, San Franciscans need to watch where they step. And they’re not imagining things: There’s been an explosion in complaints about needles and feces on the streets and sidewalks.

Reports of improperly discarded syringes have jumped 41 percent since last fiscal year, according to a recent city controller’s report. Complaints about feces have increased by 39 percent, with every district seeing a rise in the calls.

And, in a trend that must be disturbing to residents who don’t live near the Tenderloin or SoMa, long perceived as epicenters of filth, there were big increases in complaints about the outlying neighborhoods to the city’s 311 service portal for fiscal year 2015-16.

Was there 20 years ago and vowed never to go back. Aggressive bums (panhandlers) follow you for blocks while yelling at you. Fun!

And that is why you will never see me living in a big city.

When I was a kid I always saw movies shot in big cities in cold weather and see the steam coming out of the vents in the ground as people walked through them. I always thought that was kinda cool. When I was older I found out the vapors that wafts up from those steam vents many times pulls the odor of the adjacent sewers along with it.

What a horrendous stench.

Yes but according to libertarian drug advocates, these are all good signs that society is going in the right direction.

If the citizens get tired of it, they can always move to France for a different view of what happens when whole countries don't stand up to evil.

I remember many reports and articles about the homeless during the Bush administration.

I thought the homeless situation no longer was a big problem under Obama...I never hear about it in the media. Wonder why. /s

Perhaps the city can pay the homeless a $15 /hr wage to clean it up ...using fake $ or other city printed money. Watch the free movie, “Obsolete”...SanFran is already the leader in such globalist nonsense.

The same "homeless" people are out there but the Regime, its Party and its controlled media has changed the script on how to use them for their radical agenda.

Under Bush, they were to be portrayed as helpless victims of government neglect.

Under Obama, they have been organized (and financed) into the Brown Shirts of the leftwing agenda.

You saw then across the country, in the Democrat encouraged & supported Occupied Wall Street Movement as well as in the Democrat encouraged riots and looting that Black Lives Matter provoked. And as Project Veritas has revealed, you saw them in the violent Brown Shirts the Democrats paid and sent to disrupt Trump rallies.

The thing about making recreational use of narcotics your hobby is that you get high and litter your neighborhood with this stuff. Drug areas in cities, counties, and even rural towns all look the same.

Wait until the next earthquake. Homeless will be sharing the gymnasiums with the rich. I like that.

Yeah, I used to like SF. Fisherman's wharf. Chilly day. Eating clam chowder soup out of a sourdough bowl.

SF used to be a marvelous city. But the filthy hippies invaded in the sixties, they stayed, too stupid and lazy to work, so they entered politics.

Like everything else liberals touch: it ALWAYS turns to crap.

Went out to the wine valley about an hour north of San Fran last year, and it is still amazing. Had to drive about 2 hours south to Palo Alto. Man what a nightmare. San Francisco/Oakland is so congested and dirty. If you watch movies from the 60s and 70s set there, it is hard to believe it is the same city.

Before I finally moved away in 2008, my boss told me “San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the world - from ten feet above the ground on up.” :)
