Last post late 2013. I thought of an old Seinfeld a few days ago, which mentioned “Xena” and then I remembered Xenalyte.

But have no idea what happened. One of our FReepers from the spring and summer just up and disappeared one day.

When the Batman v Superman movie came out I researched the history of Wonder Woman. I already knew about Superman being the product of Siegel and Shuster, and Bob Kaine creating Batman. I knew nothing of Wonder Woman though.

Lets just say that William Moulton Marston was a bit of a nutcase.

Linda Carter still looks pretty good (at least from the above photo). I’ve actually caught a few episodes on MeTV in the past year, and while it is very campy, I actually enjoyed the shows. New girl is pretty cute, but she didn’t do too much for me in the B vs. S. That was probably my last superhero movie, i’m done supporting those idiots.

I wouldn’t recommend it. It had its moments, but the ending was just dumb. Nothing was really memorable, and nothing I would watch again.

The extended version is much better than the theatrical release. And Affleck is a surprisingly good Batman, maybe even the most faithful portrayal of the comic character. But it’s nowhere as fun to watch as any of the Marvel movies. The DC film universe feels like a bleak dark place. I didn’t even bother to see Suicide Squad. A Joker who looks like a reject from employment at Spencer’s Gifts isn’t something I’m all that interested in.
