Yep, the only way I see Obama pardoning her is if he is somehow involved in this and an investigation can lead to him.

We still have to investigate whether Obama is legal. If not, his pardons, like his executive orders, mean nothing.

"Someone mentioned this afternoon that a president can be impeached after he is out of office."

The only punishment available is removal from office so what would be the point?

I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m just saying this memo just restates it. It doesn’t provide any new information other than that the same connection was made at the time.

This document was released by the FBI just a few days ago. The investigation was conducted by the Ashcroft justice department and a political decision was made not to pursue it.

Means W. Bush is dirty on this, facts are facts and it also explains a lot.

There is a well known precedent for this.

Well known, but NOT well argued. In fact, not challenged at all!

The courts will not, cannot, rule on the lawfulness of any "precedent" that has never been challenged.

Who has standing?

Is that important safeguard for The People (allowing criminals to escape punishment for defrauding the general public) so easily made to vanish?

There must be a clear establishment of a no statute of limitation for politically inspired major crimes by elected, appointed political, criminals, their employees and "friends (read contributors.)"

Also no elected Federal officer (Executive, legislative or judicial, shall increase their net worth more than 100% while in office.

Additionally, No retired Federal elected or appointed member of the three branches who has a net worth more than ten times the median net worth of the non government employed citizen shall be entitled to receive any retirement benefits whatsoever.

It is instructive to note that Harry Truman was the first president to receive presidential benefits, and it was quite modest by any standard, old or new.

It was never intended to be a pathway to effective royalty at taxpayer expense, and created and modified by the elected criminals themselves, with no provision to exercising the rights of veto by the citizens to limit the amount of the increases and how often the salaries may occur.
Five years sounds reasonable, but not mandatory.
If the elected criminals can no longer assume the right to set their own salaries, perhaps that would inhibit the indifference with which they view niceties like inflation, cost of living and the integrity of retirement survival.

He can issue a pardon........ and his Presidency will be greatly defined by it.

The Obama’s do not like the Clinton’s and vice versa. This is well known despite what they say on the campaign trail.

How far does Obama want to go - the S.S. Clinton is leaking like a sieve via wikileaks. It’s bad and they have promised it will get worse. Act now and pay later? Don’t act - preserve your reputation and on top of that you rid yourself of an enemy. He retains control by not acting - if she is elected they will freeze him out.

This is more interesting than television!

I asked the same question. Here was the response I got.

Loss of Secret Service detail, and the loss of the presidential pension, medical...

There may be other things too.

These are three rather big things to lose I suppose.

Your legacy is also destroyed. That’s a big deal too.

It makes sense to go after these things if the guy was a real crud. I’m thinking this guy qualifies.

"The only punishment available is removal from office so what would be the point?"

Bill Clinton(s) & Obama's pensions plus maybe limit / remove Bill's Secret Service, same for Captain Zero {Obama,} give Obama 3 (three) to 5 (five) years Secret Service, then cut it off, do the pension thing immediately.

Isn't he implicated in the E mail scandal? I don't believe for a second, that he learned about it on news broadcasts.

Even Hillary’s brother, Hugh Rodham, sold one of many notorious Clinton pardons to a big-time crack dealer:

http://speakout.com/activism/news/5653-1.html

“Hugh Rodham received a contingency fee ... In 1995, Vignali was convicted of masterminding a scheme to distribute 800 pounds of crack cocaine, worth millions of dollars, from Los Angeles to a narcotics ring in Minneapolis ...” [and Hillary’s brother sold that man a pardon]

Pulling quote from following thread:

” ... Senate passed a resolution of condemnation by a 95-2 ...”

[regarding Clinton’s sleazy pardons]

Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder Still Blocking the Truth - about Clinton pardon of 16 terrorists

However,Clinton and her team miscalculated. Instead of a quiet release and minimal fallout,(like they also hoped for with Benghazi),the terrorists did not immediately accept clemency and a firestorm erupted. The terrorists were allowed an astonishing 30 days to consider their release,as the FBI, Bureau of Prisons, and various law enforcement organizations condemned the offers. Forgotten victims and families like mine publicly demanded answers from the Clintons. The U.S. Senate passed a resolution of condemnation by a 95-2 vote as media outlets hammered the administration.
