House Dem: FBI will exonerate Clinton again (Beware of Comey's Treachery)

FBI investigators will exonerate Hillary Clinton for the second time this year, a top House Democrat said in response to news that the agency found new emails "pertinent" to the probe of Clinton's private email server.

"Nothing in today's letter suggests that the FBI or the Department of Justice will reach a different conclusion than the one they reached months ago, when they decided criminal prosecution was unwarranted," Michigan Rep. John Conyers, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, said Friday.

FBI Director James Comey shocked D.C. with a short letter to several members of Congress that said he was reopening the Clinton email investigation.

"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation," he wrote. "I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

The new emails reportedly were obtained during an investigation of former Rep. Anthony Weiner's sexting scandal; the New York Democrat is the estranged husband of longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

Comey's letter, cryptic as it was, led Republicans to believe that Clinton may be at risk of indictment once again, despite Comey's earlier decision not to recommend that the Justice Department charge Clinton for her "extremely careless" handling of classified information.

"Whatever new evidence has been found should be thoroughly investigated, and I hope that — unlike with the prior investigation — Director Comey will demonstrate the courage to uphold the law and restore the integrity of the FBI," Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said in response to the letter. "Elected officials, no matter how high their position, should be held accountable for criminal conduct. The rule of law matters, and it should apply equally and fairly to us all."

Conyers dismissed such statements as wishful thinking. "Donald Trump and his allies seem to put their faith in the integrity of the FBI only when it serves their political purposes," he said. "I would expect that this investigation will continue to be impartial, and that this additional step — taken only in an abundance of caution — will further clear Secretary Clinton of any wrongdoing."

Comey will be strung up by his heels a la Il Duce if he does this - by both parties and both campaigns. He better have something because nobody will be amused if it turns out to be another “nothing to see here, folks” move.

No need for another fix. This is just a huge RED HERRING to get the attention in the media away from Hillary-Obama-DOJ-FBI conspiracy and crimes that WIKILEAKS has already exposed.

Nothing new - right out of the DemocRAT handbook.

My thoughts exactly. Comey is nothing more than a DNC lap dog. This is a totally orchestrated move. It was planned and now it's being executed.

"I would expect that this investigation will continue to be impartial, and that this additional step — taken only in an abundance of caution — will further clear Secretary Clinton of any wrongdoing."

Besides, there already is "significant" evidence available to impartially indict her. Comey can't be trusted.

“In short, watch out: the fix may be in. “

Wow, haven’t heard that cliche before. Oooooooooooooh let me “watch out”!

Who cares?! That isnt the point right now.

The point is to use this to help win the election. Worry about the outcome later.

I think considerable damage has already been done. Even the MSM know there is a smoking gun. If this is a rope-a-dope strategy I don’t think it will work this time.

It’s too late for Hillary and all her old tricks. People know she’s corrupt, and if the nation already had Bush fatigue, they certainly have Clinton fatigue even worse.

Comey has lost control of the FBI. He is facing a revolt. The rank and file are fighting back to regain some of the lost trust in the integrity of the FBI. The first Clinton investigation was a sham. No doubt they threatened to go public if Comey did not reopen the investigation whatever the pretext.

It has to do with the Clinton Foundation. Huma was an employee at the same time of Teneo, the CF, and the State Department. Her emails would reflect the pay for play aspect of the CF. Also, the 12 page Doug Band memo released by Wikileaks is the smoking gun. The CF is a giant slush fund and money making machine for the Clintons. Of course there is criminality there.

They didn’t exonerate her the first time. Comey just said that he didn’t think that a prosecutor would prosecute HER.

The FBI can’t hold back the evidence.

What fix? This was not the week for this to come out. It is no doubt going to reduce the votes she receives. I expect Trump to win and then have her indicted.

Nonsense. No LEO would ever announce a major investigation and wrap it up in five business days. They would be laughed out of the profession. There will be no indictment or exoneration before the election. Just many many many questions.

Here’s the thing... in that press conference in July, Comey laid out the case for indicting Clinton. BUT he said that there was no clear intent. If now his minions have shown him emails previously not disclosed which show clear intent he’s in a box, he has no choice but to move forward. In fact, he should have said, I am recommending that she be indicted or I’m recommending that there be a grand jury convened. I don’t know whether he has the authority to indict or convene a grand jury. I don’t think he can. Basically he’s just a cop.

Oh, this is just Conyers not having gone through his stages of grief yet.

Comey would be the biggest fool in all of history to do this without having her dead to rights.

Well..
If this is a Dem plan, I’m not sure it is helpful to Hillary. Just reinforces and builds her scumminess
