I check with my doc, and he said he’d accept payment per visit from an individual.

That actually sounds like the cheapest way to go if a person could find a reasonable catastrophic plan someplace.

Why would Obama want Hillary to lose? Unlike the Republicans, the RATS don’t eat their own.

Interesting idea. I know I am going through Open Enrollment at my company and costs for next year typically get revealed in late October. Could just be timing.

Of course, if Hillary loses, Obama is the de facto leader of the Democrat party. Since they don’t like each other, I can see the motivation for Obama to want Hillary to lose. He gets to be leader and can spend the next 4 years demonizing Trump as a tool for fundraising and congressional elections.

The law says people under Obamacare will pay something like 4-7% of their income for premiums. Regardless of the insurance company’s premium increase.

So if someone’s income doesn’t change much, and the insurance company raises rates 50%, the person (voter) doesn’t pay any more than the previous year. The gov’t pays the increase.

The voters getting this insurance won’t care about it. The taxpayer should care about it, but hell, the Fed can just print that money.

It’s insane end to end.

Yes. If my own comes in with that kind of increase, I do believe I am going to have to take on an additional part-time job in order to keep up with our bills. With everything else but pay increasing, we are at the edge of making it work, cash-flow, wise. And the house is paid off, no car loans, no debt. It is scary to be staring at 60 next year, in this situation. I will not take a penny from savings to pay “normal” expenses, so that is not an option.

Can you even get a catastrophic plan now? I thought all plans had to cover a bunch of other stuff like contraceptives and women’s health stuff.

With real competition, a young man in his early 20s should be able to find a plan that is tailored to his needs without being forced to cover a bunch of stuff (like women’s health) that is not applicable to him.

I’m not even sure. Do we have only employer plans and Obamacare plans now?

Good thing it’s plastered with the name “Obamacare” or anybody but him would catch blame.

It was always interesting how the biggest cost increases, for anything really, are always scheduled for when they’re out of office.

Can you even get a catastrophic plan now?

If you are older than 30 you and are eligible for a hardship waiver, you can buy catastrophic coverage without paying the penalty.

Give more so we can take care of everyone

Hillary's entire campaign has that philosophy. She calls it "investing".

The basic idea is: "I need to take more of the money you earn by working ... and give it to those other people who are not at all productive. This is an investment."

Huh?

Obama cares about nothing but his own legacy at this point. He’s not dumb. He knows that the signature “accomplishment” of his presidency is the health care law named after him. That’s what people will remember him for. Hillary is nothing more than a continuation of the Obama presidency. Obama knows that Obamacare is a disaster that will crash and burn. If Trump wins then Obama can pin the blame on Trump and the nasty Republicans who failed to support Obamacare for the crash and burn. A Hillary win, and it’s all on Barry.

And the Arizona Republic just happens to have endorsed Hillary just before all this became public? And all the media ballyhoo about them never endorsing a Democrat too. Ha ha ha, their timing wasn’t too good!

No most enrollment periods are in October for the following year. They have to release the rates.

Here’s the scoop from Jack Porosbiec (Citizens4Trump special projects director) in his online update (Periscope) yesterday morning. You can search his twitter @JackPorosbiec to see it.

He said the media is NOT talking about the insurance letters that people are receiving about their Obamacare premiums going up 25%-100% because it’s very bad for HRC. The voters ARE going to blame her at the polls and Obama, and rightly so.

So why were the letters sent out now? Jack said originally the insurers were happy because everyone was forced to buy their products and they saw big profits coming. However healthy people are refusing to pay for it, and are willing to incur penalties to avoid it, and so Obamacare is in the predicted death spiral. The insurance companies have been losing multi millions of dollars instead of making huge profits and so now they’re really ticked at Obama and Hillary. These premium letters sent just before the election are their REVENGE.

Sounds very logical to me.

I talked to a woman a couple of weeks ago, that wants to go back to work, but it doesn’t make sense. Says she will face $1800 a month premiums and lose Tenncare. She’s facing 3 follow up surgeries due to an accident. On Tenncare they are free. With Obamacare and $1800/month premiums she’ll have a 20% copay for the surgeries.

Thanks fellow Freeper! That makes total sense to me. Never mess with insurance companies profits! They are cold blooded and owe no allegiance to anyone!

Interesting info, makes sense. Here in Northern Calif., Blue Shield used to treat us like garbage once O-care kicked in. We eventually dropped them. Now, out of the blue, they are calling my wife 2 - 3 times per week, trying to get us to sign up again. She tells them to bugger off and to enjoy the program they so fully supported.
