Youre probably appalled at the American medias shameless whoring for Hillary Clinton, asking yourself why they would so thoroughly debase their much-touted journalistic ethics. President Obama has answered that question.
As reported by Agence France Presse, during a recent speech in Pittsburgh he postulated:
We are going to have to rebuild within this wild-wild-west-of-information flow some sort of curating function that people agree to.
There has to be, I think, some sort of way in which we can sort through information that passes some basic truthiness tests and those that we have to discard, because they just dont have any basis in anything thats actually happening in the world.
Set aside the outrageous, un-American gall in proposing that any central authority should curate information put out to the public, and walk with me for a minute down a meandering path of speculation.
It is, or course, the World Wide Web in which Obamas informational wild-wild west exists. This is the realm of Breitbart, Cybercast News Service, the Drudge Report, World Net Daily, American Thinker, and other non-establishment outlets that persist in making the president uncomfortable.

Definitely in top 10 of MOST TERRIFYING things a president has ever said.
A total disavowal of the 1st Amendment.
This is exactly what all of the college snowflakes are begging for: completely censored and government approved information. They are of the opinion, that it is an appropriate use of government force, to protect them from views and words that conflict in any way with the approved message.
He’s openly advocating for a Ministry of Propaganda
I wonder what his cheerleaders in the MSM think of THIS
Probably OK with it... Kool Aid does that to your f’n brain!!
He already has one in the democrat/communist media/entertainment/academia propaganda complex. It's way more pervasive than anything ever dreamed up by the Soviets or Nazis. 0bama intends to take the technology that we freely created and turn it into the shackles of thought control through controlled flow of information. The first thing will be "licensing" information outlets. The MSM will automatically get their licenses. We won't. And the MSM is fine with this arrangement, because it grants them a monopoly on information. In the end they will also get a nice financial subsidy too. They are "too big to fail."
Socialism is all about rationing; 0bama's America (and Clinton's America) are about rationing how much and what kind of food, housing, education, energy, medical care and transportation you get. It will also be about how much and what information you get.
Ayn Rand, Aldous Huxley and George Orwell would not be proud of 0bama and Clinton's America, but they would have no problem recognizing it.

That is correct, the Ministry of Propaganda is not just the news outlets, they weave the narrative into everything, entertainment, education and now even sports programming.
If you can’t trust the Ministry of Truth, who can you trust?
See! That’s your brain on Kool Aid! :)
Isn’t Dr, Goebells otherwise occupied these days? That would create a “slight” crimp in finding a head for the new new “Propagands Department.”
On the other hand, there are indeed hundreds of newspaper “editors” who would gladly apply for the job.

That's for certain. Goebbels wished that he had such a firm grip on the national media. And Orwell never dreamed of an entity exerting such control over its populace.
