About 100 people rallied and marched in Edina on Saturday to protest police brutality, blocking the busy intersection at 50th and France for about 40 minutes.
The gathering, organized around the theme of "I Am a Man," was held to address the issues of racial profiling and police violence against black men, including fatal police shootings of Jamar Clark and Philando Castile.
Its initial inspiration was last week's encounter between a black pedestrian and a plainclothes Edina police officer, part of which was caught on camera.
Black men were invited to stand together on the steps of City Hall, where speakers challenged the police's account of the incident and the way they interact with black residents.

Just so you know, there isn’t a more lily-white suburb anywhere on earth than Edina, MN. But there are a lot of good brainwashed libs there too, so I’m sure they felt flattered that they were being splattered with the guilty brush. Something to talk about with the girls at the salon on Monday.

BTW, according to today’s Minneapolis Star-Tribune (a huge lib gag) the officer in the Jamal Clarke incident was cleared of any wrongdoing. But obviously that doesn’t mean anything to these protesters. Just like with Trayvon Martin, Ferguson, etc. Alinsky said to “rub the sore raw.” It’s what Obama and the other Dem agitators do best.
Their masters have put the kibosh on these demonstrations until Hillary is elected and gives everyone everything they want.
Don’t want Caucasians worried.

I lived there for ten years. Put three kids through the cakeater school system. Listened to endless blather from over-coiffed former cheerleaders about how some of their best friends were queer or moslem. Made me want to puke.
So now I have two daughters who are so sick of the bland insularity they’ve decided to “change the world.”. And one son who is an Air Force TACP candidate. And I moved last summer.
Off topic I know but we are supposed to call it Climate Disruption.
