Trump on the Commission for Presidential Debates: It’s a ‘Rigged Deal’ and ‘I’m Done’

.....[snip]... Donald Trump blasted the Commission for Presidential Debates on Wednesday, claiming the bipartisan group is “rigged” and declaring himself “done” with it.

“The head guy worked for Bill Clinton. Ay yai yai. What a rigged deal this is,” Trump said at a rally in Florida. He was referring to CPD co-chair Mike McCurry, who served as Clinton’s press secretary for three and a half years. What Trump did not mention is that McCurry’s co-chair is Frank Fahrenkopf, chairman of the Republican National Committee while Ronald Reagan was president.

Trump went on to suggest that he might skip the third debate, scheduled for October 19 in Las Vegas. “I have no respect for that group, by the way, I’m done,” he said of the CPD. Trump spokesperson Jason Miller told the Daily Beast’s Olivia Nuzzi that Trump does, in fact, plan to participate in the third debate.

Trump’s debate diatribe also included mention of the recent allegations that Hillary Clinton was fed a question by current DNC head Donna Brazile before a CNN town hall during the Democratic primary. “Oh man, why can’t the Republicans do that?” he joked. “Why can’t Reince feed me information prior to a debate? I am so angry at the Republicans. I want to be fed information like Hillary gets.”

I would wait until the last minute before making a statement to that effect. Things could change between now and then.

Seems more likely the Hildebeest would can the third debate.

After all, she thinks she's ahead, and she knows what's coming at that debate!

Are they implying that Trump is Ronald Reagan's wife?

What this article fails to mention is that the RNC at the time of the Reagan presidency hated Reagan

When does the RNC ever mention Reagan — in a good way?

BTWAny Bush? McCain? McConnell and the wimp boys?

Nope, not quite. He should face it just like the second debate, this last debate he should be tougher. It gonna look bad for him they'd say he don't have dick.

Perhaps, but there has to be a time when conservatives decide to put their collective foot down and just say NO to these rigged debates. Why do they keep letting themselves get ambushed again and again?

Inspite knowing in advance that the process is rigged, Donald Trump is still willing to jump back into the frying pan. What a guy!

At the beginning Al Capone's trial for tax evasion, the prosecutors knew the jury pool had been bribed and threatened to find Capone not guilty. The judge ordered the bailiff to swap that pool with one from another courtroom.

I think it would be great if Trump's team cam in at the last minute with some budding college journalists from Hillsdale. Knowing that Hillary has previously received questions in advance, Trump will only debate with these moderators who have had no contact with either candidate.

Frank Fahrenkopf was the guy who wouldn’t allow Trumps guests to sit with his family at the debate so they could go on the stage afterwards.

Hardly. He needs to go in there and:

* Be ready to talk about more details of his plan to make things better and describe what that looks like in ways people can understand.

* Be ready to pivot any sex tabloid questions into the media's obsession with his sex life, but without getting angry, but rather getting on the side of the viewers who are sick of hearing questions about sex and want to hear about solutions.

* Emphasize his ability to get projects done under budget and on time...by hiring people who are competent rather than people who are corrupt.

* He also needs to do his great facial expressions when Hillary says ridiculous stuff, but hold his tongue and not take any bait or get angry. When she is done, he should be ready with wiki-leak backed points that show how corrupt and incompetent she has been. But he should do so as someone explaining why he has no choice but to fire them...calmly and almost with a bit of sympathy.

The man is brilliant, but has a temper. If he is at his best he can kill this thing.

Report is BS.

Trump said all of the above, but it didn’t come across that he would not debate.

Trump better debate the Witch. There is too much ammo not to use against her.

I think you are on to something there. I hope his people read that suggestion here.

Yeah, its very weird how the media can't seem to comprehend what he says. Its like trying to explain philosophy to a materialist, they just have trained themselves to be oblivious to the most obvious things of all.
