No, let’s knee jerk and be short sighted because we’re angry. No need to remember who confirms Supreme Court nominees.

Yes, let’s do that. The Senate GOP is the bottom of the filthy beltway barrel.

“it rises to the level of people who were candidates in the last four years or five years”

In other words, the Jeb-Romney-Rubio-Ryan Axis of Weasel.

I have made the same choice as you...my wife is going one step further, in order to further the end of the detestable Republican Party (and to “burn it all down”), she is voting Trump then straight party Democrat. Her thought is that she will cast her protest vote for Trump and then in order to speed along the destruction of the regime, let them do their very worst - full on communism/fascism and let the people suffer as they should for their stupidity.

I can’t say she’s wrong.

The Supreme Court is gone.

The Uniparty Republicans are not going to balk at anyone put up by Clinton. They are all on the inside, and they want to stay at the table for crumbs...not to mention they want to live.

You need to understand - Hillary will be a dictator. The Supreme Court is gone forever. It is “burn it all down” time.

This 2016 election may be the last actual election, before the USA turns permanently into the USSA fascist police state.
The Repub leadership appear to have been bought/blackmailed/etc off.
Any idiot can figure out that a Dem win means Hillary will illegally floor massive numbers of free-sh*t illegals/”refugees” into the USA, spreading them out to turn Red states Blue via giving them the vote.
Repubs will never win elections again because the electorate will no longer be the traditional electorate.
She/Dems will flood the Country with extreme left judges who will approve all Dem measures to establish a functioning One Party Dictatorship.
Like any Country that gets taken over by a left wing revolution, it will be after the take-over that citizen quality of life will go downhill fast.
Think of it this way:
Obama = Lenin/Chavez
Hillary = Stalin/the “Bus Driver” Madero (sp?)
Truly, with a Dem win, this will be functionally the last election before the dictatorship.
And does anyone think Hillary will show any ethics in Office?
Problem is...before, when the USA was “the land of the free”, people would escape oppression by coming here.
But where to escape to now?
China clamping down.
Russia?
Swiss don’t just let anyone in.
Mexico? Hah!

EXACTLY

The only question is how long until the U.S. resembles that new third world shithole known as Venezuela? I have a coworker about 10 years older than me (I think she’s around 48). Born & raised in Caracas. The stories she tells me are unbelievable. When she was a kid, her hometown looked like a Southern California beach town & life was carefree. Now, it’s a sewer

Romney and Ryan threw the last election to the democrats. Then they were leaders of the Republican party until the next, current election. During that time the Republican party has acquiesced to the agenda of the Obama democrat party. Now both Romney and Ryan are again endeavoring to throw this election to the uniparty globalists who run the democrat party. Romney is ruining the good conservative reputation of the state of Utah. Ryan is destroying the trust of Republicans in their elected representatives. Interesting how the Trump candidacy has forced public awareness of their traitorous complicity with the democrat party to destroy this Republic.

Food for thought

It took only 25 years after the death of the last good king of Judah, King Josiah, for the nation of Judah to fall apart and be destroyed by the Babylonians.

Reagan's last year in office was 1988. It's now been 28 years and this nation is falling apart.

Anyone see the correlation?

I don't give the USA much time at all unless the forces of evil on both sides of the aisle are removed and decent, knowledgeable, and competent people are put in their places. If that doesn't happen, the USA is doomed.

My Congressman has been a never-Trumper since day 1, but Trump still has a better chance of getting a Republican congress to go along with his agenda than a Democrat congress. So yes many Republican politicians have exposed themselves, but Trump will still have a better chance of twisting their weasely arms than a bunch of traitorous Demonrats.

“decided I will only be casting a vote for Trump this election. The rest of the Republican ticket can eff off”

Just thinking out loud, but wouldn’t it be better to wait and get rid of them by primarying them?

Pros:

Trump has long coattails - the perception of a voter mandate coming out of the election if he wins big and carries a lot of down ticket republicans

The republicans will owe him.

Trump retains republican control of senate and house - half RINOS I know, but still better than democrat control.

Trump is replacing RINOS with conservatives rather than with Democrats.

It might be easier to get out the Trump vote with as many Republicans on board as possible, and the simplicity of recommending a straight ticket. If we complicate the message with split tickets, it might suppress the Trump vote.

Cons:

We don’t get punish the RINOs by withholding our support.

They might think they have our support and be encouraged to continue their sabatage.

Bottom line:

I feel that it’s better to not only give Trump a landslide for himself, but also give him the bragging rights of long coat tails. He can say he pulled them all across the finish line - then he has a mandate - then he has control of both houses of congress - then they owe him.

Then - remember who they are and primary them straight to hell next chance we get.

I’m going to hold my nose and vote a straight ticket - and I will encourage others to do the same.

Let’s not cut off our nose to spite our face.

I say she’s wrong, although I do understand the anger.

It’s called cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I say reelect them now - then primary them next time.

That’s the better strategy

Give them two more years at the trough and enrich themselves while laughing at the dumb, controlled voters that keep putting them there? All the while back-stabbing Trump whenever they can. More bargains with the devil...it has to stop sometime.

If you subtract the emotional part (I don’t care if they laugh and think I’m stupid, and vengeance is not mine anyway) then you are left with a simple question:

Do you think the Democrat would be better than the RINO for those 2 years?

Remember, the Democrat is also enriching himself. The Democrat is also stabbing Trump any chance he gets (albeit, not in the back). Electing Democrats would turn the leadership, agenda control and committee chairmanships over to the Democrat party, which is explicitly against everything in Trump’s agenda and will automatically oppose everyone Trump nominated for cabinet positions, judges, etc. The Democrats will use that two years to burrow in, fortify and then have the advantage of committee chairs and incumbency when the next election comes along.

Well, at this point I think a few things: The American electoral system is completely controlled by political leaders - office holders in leadership. I don’t think we have free elections any longer and I don’t think it is viable to “primary” incumbents - their advantages are far too great - if we can’t elect Trump we’re certainly not going to be able to “primary” very many of the GOP elite.

Assuming Trump wins, your logic holds. However, if you assume Trump will lose in this very rigged Soviet Style system we have - we will be left with nothing at all to move forward with. If, however, we destroy the fake Republican wing of the Uniparty, we will have a valuable accomplishment this election. The Republican party must fundamentally change into a real opposition party or it must die. If we kill the Republican Party, we end the sham of a “two party” system of competition - which only exists now as an illusion. Get rid of the illusion and we start getting real with they tyranny that rules America. That is an accomplishment. And since it looks like the rigged system is fixed for Hillary...I’ll take that.

I agree; my assumption in all this is that Trump wins.

I can’t think about the alternative - I’m in complete denial!
