Trump and the Surrender Caucus of the GOP
American Thinker ^ | October 10, 2016 | Jared E. Peterson

Right now we are witnessing one of the reasons the Left is winning and the Right losing America.

No Democratic Party president or presidential candidate in history has ever been subjected to, or will be subjected to, the kind of savage attempted assassination by his own party’s leaders that Donald Trump is now enduring from the great and the good among Republicans and “respectable” conservatives.

All for a locker room crudity that he thought he spoke in private.

Without the active, enthusiastic support of Republican office holders, present and former, this distraction from the real issues would have dried up and blown away in two days. But the ugly truth is Trump’s own party’s leaders are leading the pack of baying hounds.

Contrast this with the Left’s reaction to indiscretions by its presidents or presidential candidates: No matter the infraction, the moral failing or the actual crime, the Left stands by its main man. Always.

Of course, the band of Never Trumps now trying to destroy their voters’ choice for the presidency were already looking for an excuse to commit this coup against the party base well before the current opportunity arose.

But the reality is that in similar circumstances the feckless Republican Party, along with much of the “respectable” American Right, would be administering the same slashing to a candidate they liked.

There weren’t nearly as many 1964 liberal Republicans (such as George W. Romney) against Goldwater as there are this year against Trump.

Is it any wonder the GOP was Obama’s doormat for 8 years? Now they intend to surrender the White House to Hillary Criminal without a fight. Incredible. Unbelievable.

The title is perfect. The GOPe is all about apologizing for every little parking ticket as if they are thankful they are not seeing prison time for it.

What a bunch of useless government teat suckers.

You’d never want Paul Ryan to be with you in a fox hole. He is a coward and a sunshine soldier with not a shred of loyalty to this country. That he would aid a Saul Alinsky radical Leftist in wing this election because he doesn’t like the p-word makes absolutely no sense in the real world. Grow up, you snot-nosed panty-wetters. We are talking about the survival of the USA here.

They are duplicitous traitors like the Vichy French and are actually part of the opposition.

They will pay....and pay dearly in the years ahead. They are cowards who will die a thousand deaths. Conservatives will not forget.

Ryan wants to be the republican presidential nominee in 2020, and he can't do that if Trump is running for re-election. Ryan is not doing this for the good of the party, it is all for Ryan.

Even if Trump loses, Ryan will never be the nominee after stabbing us repeatedly in the back. He will be the 2020 Jeb.

No matter the result of the election, Trump will always be the one who exposed the corrupt, Marxists leading the GOP. It is him who has shown us how badly broken the system is.

I think Trump is willing to sacrifice his campaign, sacrifice his life, to open the eyes of American’s to the true intention of the Globalists.

For that he will go down as one of the greatest American heroes in the history of the Republic

The gale has blown some dead fruit from the tree.

This is good — now we know for sure who is for freedom, and who is against freedom. This is valuable information.

Anyone who would do anything to make it easier for Hillary Clinton to win is against freedom, they might as well switch parties at this point.

Any so-called “conservative” who chooses Clinton over Trump is a joke. This is what we have fought against for two generations, socialists coming to power. What the hell are they thinking? (or drinking)

There may be a boatload of hope for America, but as for the major parties? That’s a different question, and it looks like Trump is passing out more than enough rope to both of them for them to hang themselves.

A nation has to survive, and Donald is about surviving with some room to spare. Let the constitutional purists by all means debate about adjustments to the attitude of the ship — once Donald has rescued it from being capsized.

Calling them the surrender caucus is inaccurate. They are, more correctly, the renegade caucus. They have abandoned any pretense of actually supporting GOP voters — they are all in support of the Demoplican Establishment Ruling Class.
