GOP Voters Not Following Trump-Abandoning Elites

First, Donald Trump isn't leaving the race, and indeed seems oblivious to the storm of criticism surrounding him.

By Saturday, about a dozen senators, a dozen members of the House of Representatives and three governors - all Republicans - had withdrawn their support. "Thank you", Trump wrote on Twitter. "Watch their poll numbers - and elections - go down!" Outside Trump's small cadre of advisers, support for the businessman was scarce following Friday's release of the 2005 videotape in which he can be heard detailing his attempts to have sex with a married woman. The video was taped only months after Trump married his third wife, Melania.

A focus group of voters in St. Louis, Mo., told CBS "Face the Nation" moderator John Dickerson Saturday that the tape was bad, but many said they didn't think it would change things in the race. He said the same thing in an interview to The Washington Post, which was the first to release a video of his lewd comments against women.

"Absolutely not", the source told Reuters.

Around 74 percent of Republican voters want their party officials to continue supporting presidential nominee Donald Trump, a new poll from Politico/ Morning Consult says. According to the survey, 70 percent of Democrats think Trump should drop out and only 12 percent of Republicans say the same.

that is what this election IS all about, telling the political “elites”, to pound sand.
To hell with this one world B.S.
I am an American, not a one world butt head.

Exactly. Nearly the same thing happened on the democratic side, except they rigged the game.

I for one will vote for Trump and either skip over Heck here in Nevada or even vote for his opponent. He walked, even ran, from Trump, now he has one less vote.

What a waste of BS-laden words. That whole screed could have been boiled down to the one half-sentence, “70% of Democrats think Trump should drop out...” Well, no $#!t Sherlock!

I, too, will not abandon or “run away from” Donald Trump. Rather, I am abandoning the Republican Party. I don’t know who, or if any, (R’s) are running in my state, but they will receive NO vote from this disgusted American.
When the same conversations that take place on Navy ships, Army, Air Force, and Marine barracks, as well as College Frat houses becomes a major(?) campaign issue, this country is in deep trouble.

As far as I am concerned, the GOP is effing stupid to the nth degree. How many people have this sneaky clean past? I don’t know any. The fact that they dumped loyalty for doing less than them makes them look even more spineless.

Mr Trumps knows exactly where this recording took place, and if it was in California, he should be down FILING FELONY CRIMINAL CHARGES against Bush and NBC. If it can be determined that the tape was Shared with the Clinton Campaign FELONY CONSPIRACY CHARGES are in order also.

Win or lose, he is effectively driving the last few nails into the GOP coffin.

Thank you, Mr. Trump.

Exactly. Nearly the same thing happened on the democratic side, except they rigged the game.

The Democrats learned hard lessons in '68 and '72 not to let the base pick the candidates. Better let the elites do this. They put a safety feature in place (superdelegates) to ensure this craziness doesn't happen again.

Rest assured if Trump loses, the GOP will try the same thing.

GOP Voters Not Following Trump-Abandoning Elites

The GOP-e needs to figure out that no one, except themselves, consider them "elite" - or cares what they think.

The Republican Party itself is a big loser this election cycle (regardless of the November outcomes) because it has become very clear that for the most part Republicans and Democrats are one and the same. Whether we have Republicans or Democrats controlling the White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court, we have consistently lost the culture war and in the end have higher taxes, less jobs, and less rights.

Yes, they will vote for Hillary.

It’s the only way to keep the borders open and the laws unenforced.

This is why I only donate directly to Trump.

I won’t put one thin dime in the RNC pot, because that money supports quisling cowards like the pearl clutching turncoats who are abandoning the only man who can stop the Clinton cabal from taking this country over the cliff.

Screw the establishment!
