Ohio Sen. Rob Portman became the latest Republican senator to call on Donald Trump to quit the race.
“While I continue to respect those who still support Donald Trump, I can no longer support him,” Mr. Portman said in a statement. “I continue to believe our country cannot afford a Hillary Clinton presidency. I will be voting for Mike Pence for president.”
Mr. Portman becomes the latest in a flood of Republicans to have abandoned the party’s presidential nominee Saturday, a day after a 2005 recording emerged of Mr. Trump making lewd and degrading comments about women.

Doesn’t work that way. A vote for Pence on a write-in ballot is useless. A vote for Pence on the main ballot is a vote for Trump.
Maybe Trump should talk to Strickland and a couple of the other Democrats. Support him on taxes, a foreign policy or 2 in exchange for his support. How about re running 2 years down the road to keep their seats for the full term? Put it in writing.

I still wonder if it wasn’t all a set up. Otherwise how in the hell could anyone explain Hillary Clinton getting elected president? They’ve known all of this since day one.
