Sherriff Joe is getting a bit long in the tooth.

The FBI is a big agency. It needs someone with executive experience, known as a straight shooter.

Someone who can turn the priorities around and get rid of the political correctness.

Maybe Governor Abbot of Texas.

Sheriff Clark and Justice Clarence Thomas are probably two of the most knowledgeable people in the country on the subject of race, apparently absolutely impartial people.

If Trump is elected, it would be comical to see all the ex-presidents refuse to be seen with him.

“Rudy should head the FBI, Homeland Security and the Department of Justice!”

That is such a great idea! Really, Trump could announce the idea as a way to integrate information flows from each agency. He should bring up the “Gorelick Wall”; that the agencies could have and should have prevented 9/11; and vow that he will do what is right to protect our citizens.

Suspect we are going to find out a lot of stuff about the government that we only suspected before when Trump takes over. Have never understood why more systems within the government weren’t integrated across departments. For instance, components of Social Security, Medicare, IRS and voter registration - all use SS# as a key component. Of course, that would require programmers that actually knew something about these systems, updated equipment and someone to work out procedures for making sure info is input on a timely basis and that it is correct.

Have never understood why IRS processes returns and cranks out refunds beginning early in January when W-2 and 1099 information is not due from employers and businesses until after the end of January and that information goes to the Social Security Administration.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all to find that some government agencies still keep info on floppy discs. Just a whole lot of inefficiencies, at least from my little corner of the business world.

Oh, wouldn’t we all love to see Rudy head up Trump’s DOJ. What a refreshing housecleaning that would be. Or how about Director of the FBI?

AG - Rudy Giuliani
DHS - Joe Arpaio
Supreme Court - Andrew Napolitano
FBI - Sheriff David Clark
This would be tantamount to a coup d’etat. Many wealthy and powerful people would be heading for jail. They cannot allow this.

Rudy will be in Trump’s admin, that’s what this leave of absence is about is my bet. I don’t know where, either AG or DHS would be great. Christie probably will get a post too, AG might be good. Other good people are in Trump’s sights too. I’m just guessing but Trey Gowdy might be getting some attention. Yeah I know, all this time and nothing comes out of never ending investigations, but he’s been stonewalled at every turn and Trump knows it. Untie his hands and he can do some good. He was an excellent prosecutor. Don’t let the endless investigation scenario fool you. His buddy Jason Chaffets (SP?) might be worth taking a look at too. Same thing, stonewalled for ages and still not giving up. And Trump knows they have had their hands tied. Give those two a decent chance and sit back and watch...

Sheriff Clarke announced long ago he has no intention of getting into government, he’s a cop and wants to stay one. He has plenty to do right where he is. I’d like it if he would but he plans to stay at his current job. Can’t write him off, Trump’s a good talker..

Sheriff Joe is 80, shouldn’t be getting into anything else. Probably should be thinking about retiring. Great guy but he better be training a replacement. Or more accurately, promoting and supporting one...

I’m wondering about a couple of other spots. SOS? I’m pretty sure Ben Carson has surgeon general in the bag, even if he doesn’t know it yet, but how about head of IRS, head of VA...oh yeah white house spokesman...Jesse Waters, wouldn’t that be a hoot? I doubt it would happen though. But Jesse has gotten into Trump’s office, and Trump likes him.

Main ones are Sec of State, FBI, DHS and IRS. The ones already getting some guesses in this thread are probably going to the people n his inner circle. Unless he pulls out some surprises, which is entirely possible. And can’t forget Gen Michael Flynn, Newt Gingrich, Jeff Sessions...

Plenty positions to go around, who knows what Trump will pull out of his bag of tricks...

AG is better. FBI is investigative with no power to prosecute.

“America’s Mayor”. I thought Rudy would defeat Obama in 2008, and got booted-off FR for my views!

Giuliani was my pick in 2008, but his campaign was just too weird.

I blame it on the campaign consultants
