States that refuse to help resettle Syrian refugees are guilty of illegal discrimination, a federal appeals court ruled Monday, delivering a judicial rebuke to GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence, who as Indiana’s governor had tried to halt Syrian resettlement.
Judge Richard Posner, writing for the three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, said there’s no evidence that Syrians are more dangerous, and he said even if they are, allowing Indiana to refuse to resettle them would only foist the problem onto neighboring states.
“Federal law does not allow a governor to deport to other states immigrants he deems dangerous,” Judge Posner wrote, saying the governor should instead report his fears to federal bureaucrats for redress.

Pence might do well to do this anyhow and force a facedown. The Constitution promises the states protection from “invasion” — and the claim that this stream of refugees is no more dangerous than any others is ludicrous or else Pence has the worst lawyers in the USA.
Again, the feds pushing everyone around.
Patriots are reminded that the only race-related right that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect deals with voting rights as evidenced by the 15th Amendment, that amendment giving the feds the specific power to strengthen only race-related rights that deal with voting issues.
And since the race-related issue that the court is addressing is clearly outside the scope of voting rights, the politically correct federal court does not know what it is talking about imo.
It certainly is serious stuff, especially when our government is currently infiltrated with radical muslim sympathizers, from the very top down.
The claim that there is “no evidence” that these are any worse than others, sounds just crazy. Does Pence have lousy lawyers? Could FR scout this data for him?
Bullcrap. There is no requirement that the country take in immigrants.
Much less that we bring them here ourselves.
That’s the key. These are foreigners brought to our country by our own government.
