Asian Metal Found in Alaska Reveals Trade Centuries Before European Contact

A bronze buckle and a cylindrical metal bead found in Alaska are the first hard evidence of trade between Asia and the indigenous peoples of the North American Arctic, centuries before contact with Europeans, archaeologists say.

An analysis of the artifacts has shown that they were smelted in East Asia out of lead, copper, and tin, before finding their way to an indigenous village some 700 years ago.

I’ve believed for many years that the people we call “Indians” were indeed “Asian transplants” themselves!

Either way, seven centuries is a long time to go around holding your pants up with your hands.

Japanese Jimmy Iha would’ve been a great heavy metal guitarist of he didn’t go alt with The Smashing Pumpkins.

Oh wait, we’re not talking about Asian heavy metal bands?

Either frozen or liquid, going over the Bering Strait isn’t that long of a trip to make. And I sure as heck would head south once I made it!

They are Asian “transplants”. They’re no more indigenous than anyone else. They were just here earlier.

Yep, the indigenous peoples of North America that the evil White man cheated, abused, enslaved, tortured, murdered, tricked etc., etc. were actually just interlopers from Asia/Egypt/Scandinavia or where ever the he11 your ax is getting ground.

I've read material that maintains that the real "original" North Americans were whites (probably from northern Europe) who were slaughtered by the noble savages the left idolizes today.

There are no features in our native tribes or the tribes of South America that resemble Africans.

Of course they are. It is no accident that an Eskimo, a Chilean, an Indian and a Japanese all bare striking similarities.

But those aspiring rappers and choir boys plan to be dead by age 30.

Yep, they could look across and see each other. They crossed over to marry each other and traveled back and forth visiting each other but it is astonishing that they traded.

Although this isn’t necessarily indicative of trade, could be just stuff someone forgot or left behind.

Makes sense. Why would the Vikings go all the way to Alaska when Newfoundland was much closer? Besides, they were too busy carving runestones in Minnesota to worry about trading trinkets with Eskimos.
