Former N.M. Governor Gary Johnson is pulling 24 percent, including 31 percent of hispanics. As a result, this normally Democratic state is in play.

From the story:

“Sixty-three percent said they believed the country was on the wrong track.”

Trump should play that up, that he will change the course the country is on right now, and that Hillary will stay on the course Obama set... and that Johnson won’t set any course at all!

Clinton is building a wall and making New Mexico pay for it?

I lived in NM for many years. Yes, it is a Dem State, but the national office holders are not Dems in many cases.

And the Dems in NM like to hunt and they like their guns. Hillary’s anti-gun screed will not produce support, even among die hard Dems. It is a NO SALE.

Interesting numbers. Hillary is only pulling 40% of Hispanics in New Mexico. with the remainder split between Trump, Johnson, and “other”. Obama got around 70% of New Mexico Hispanics in 2012. That show an utter lack of enthusiasm for Clinton. If that trend is similar nationwide, she will lose. She can’t afford to get so low numbers of the minority community. Which I believe is probably the reason for her huge push aimed at women. She realizes she’s getting much less of the Hispanic/black vote than Obama and is trying to make it up with white women.

Trump doesn’t even need New Mexico. Hillary is in trouble.

I’d like to believe, but I have to think a lot of that Gary Johnson support is going to collapse come Election Day. Third party presidential candidates always poll higher than they actually receive.

Not this year for Johnson at least in New Mexico.

You base your vote on race?

You need to re-examine your last post.

So if it was Ben Carson instead of Donald Trump running against the Crooked One, would I be a race-traitor if I chose Carson?

For context, Obama won NM by more than 10% over Romney. Nate Silver has Hillary by 8%, but it may be closer than that.

Polls that are modelling 2016 turn out based on 2012 turnout are going to be skewed. Clinton does not evoke the same level of enthusiasm as Obama did with the Democrat base.

Third party presidential candidates always poll higher than they actually receive.

Normally, the major party candidates do not have such high unfavorables so who knows what will happen. Several of my family members and friends say they're considering not voting for either Clinton or Trump or writing in someone. Johnson may seem like an option for many. Stein, not so much.

Exactly. First, almost every state has Trump ahead of Romney, which is interesting when the media are predicting a huge Hillary win. Second, Obama won by 4%, and the state margins are roughly 4% smaller with Trump than with Romney. Turnout is key, and the current turnout estimates have this race very close.

If Trump wins, and if he delivers for urban voters, we are in for a major political realignment in the United States. That would be a good thing for America.

“Clinton does not evoke the same level of enthusiasm as Obama did with the Democrat base.”

I was at a farmers market in the southwest part of the state yesterday. The libtards in this area are hard core Marxists, and most of them voted for Bernie. I noticed a bumper sticker on one libtard’s car that said “Hillary for prison”. Perhaps many of them will vote for Johnson or that green lady.

I'm not going to ask you how you knew the car belonged to a libtard...no, I'm not.
