But Clinton was aiming her pitch at LIVs, and LIVs care about the BS that she was peddling.
So Trump HAS to respond to it or else it’s all those votes out the window.

Must be in the hundreds of millions. I was probably one of them but apparently I got over it because I can’t remember a specific event. Maybe an offer of $100,000 or so might jog my memory.
In fact I was passing through NYC that year and I probably bumped into Trump in an elevator or something and he said something very unkind to me. What a pig! I was really offended. I hope Clinton’s team is reading this and will contact me.
And yet, many LIVs care about that kind of crap and it’d be stupid to let Hillary have her way on it.

Trump has had contact with a lot of people over many years. I’m sure there are many of those who could use an extra $100,000 or so.

Yes but was she on the fence on who to vote for? Most of them are already in the tank for Clinton.
I hear you, I have 2 female relatives and know other women who claim to care about this and other identity politics non-issues. But they were already in the tank for Hillary since 2008. They were never going to vote for Trump (or any Republican for that matter) no matter what.
I find it hard to believe this sort of thing would sway an undecided voter. But I guess I’ll have to concede there are people that gullible.
And then there’s my dad, who loathes Hillary, but bought the Yeb! spin on Trump. He’s starting to come around I think, but if this crap remains unchallenged then it’ll be pretty easy for him to fall back into the MSM spin.
So there’s at least two. I’m the only really political one in my family, except for my under-18 brother who was a Bernie-kid, so I’m watching this unfold with the lo-fos.
