Bloomberg’s headline writer needs to learn the difference between “staunch” and “stanch”.

Democratics.

Come to think of it, they are correct. Just like tics they are parasites. Deplorables are their host.

If the schools are incompetent with their own records, how can they be relied up to look after your children?

Taxpayers are flush. Take more from them and it will all work out.

Thank you for posting this correction. I’m constantly seeing it’s instead of its, your instead of you’re, etc., in articles written by so-called professional writers. The other day someone wrote “all for not” instead of “all for naught.”

Our schools have replaced grammar with literature.

Good. Shut down the government schools. Parents are responsible for the education of their children. Let them handle it.

Education is not about the kids. It is a job program for teachers.

jobs for teachers.....period...more govt retirees ...

we have countless number of conservatives and patriots who are collecting at the trough many times dipping several times and they see no relationship between bilking the tax paying public out of obscene pensions and the dire straights of our national economy and debt/deficit....no relation at all...

I’ve been accused of being a grammar Nazi for pointing out that people who write for a living, or even public consumption, should know the meanings of the words they use, and how to put them together coherently. I won’t do that to you for pointing it out, because you’re right.

In Chicago, the average public school teacher’s salary is about $71,000, per year, and they’ll probably strike, this month.

I live near Chicago. I know State Rep. Ed Sullivan, who is also the Fremont Township (Lake Co.) assessor. I’m surprised that he can hold both jobs, at the same time, since he can’t be in Mundelein and Springfield, at the same time. A state legislator proposed a bill that states that no Illinois resident may hold more than one government job, at the same time.
