PHONE GIRL EVEN GOT SNIPPY W/ME BUT IF WE STILL HAVE THE MAJORITY THEN WE CAN VOTE FOR IT...GAFFNEY ARTICLE SUGGESTS THAT WE PRESSURE DEMOCRATS—EVEN HILLARY TO GET OBAMA TO NOT VETO. As I have said, would he veto with his precious Zika funding (slush fund) that he has been whining for?
FROM TALKING TO CRUZ AND DUFFY’S OFFICES GOING FORWARD FOR NOW (could change), THE BEST BET IS:
1. CALL LOCAL HOUSE MEMBERS BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL, I REPEAT ALL, UP FOR REELECTION (so they might actually care more) AND THE HOUSE STILL HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PUT HR5418 INTO THE CONTINUING RESOLUTION...HOUSE MEMBERS NEED TO SUPPORT THE HR5418 AND CO-SPONSOR THE RESOLUTION...Then hopefully get a floor vote on Friday. I asked Cruz office what happens if no Floor vote on CR, and he did not know...
2. CONTACT SENATE LEADERSHIP (MCCONNELL OR CORNYN AND SATELLITE OFFICES MAY WORK BETTER) TO SUPPORT SB3034.
SOME GOOD NEWS IN THE HOUSE-—DUFFY NOW HAS 46 CO-SPONSORS. CONGRESSMAN DUFFY’S OFFICE SAID FOR FOLKS TO ASK CONGRESS REPS TO CO-SPONSOR THE BILL HR5418 AND VOTE YES...I CALLED MINE AND HE SAID HE WAS CONSIDERING IT—PROBABLY SAYING THAT BECAUSE HE IS UP FOR RE-ELECTION BECAUSE HE NEVER EVER HAS A POSITION PRIOR TO A VOTE...ONE OF MY PET PEEVES.
DUFFY OFFICE SAID IT WOULD HELP IF DEMOCRATS COULD PUT PRESSURE ON OBAMA TO SIGN THE BILL WITH 5418 PROTECTING INTERNET FREEDOM ACT PROVISIONS...~ Eh I don’t know why Obama would veto bill with precious Zika funding in it anyway, but that is a concern. Ted Cruz (along with a small handful of other Senators) and the group of TRUE patriotic conservatives in the House are fighting this. Those who are not on board IN THIS FIGHT are NOT “on the right” -— they are mere poseurs.
Well there are 2 or 3 artcles on Drudge that can be sent and Trump did come out on the issue last week...
Arthur Wildfire March! has written about some of the sketchy testimony given and there are many media types who have bought into the idea that this is no big deal...

Cruz has just sent a letter to the NTIA National Telecommunication Information Administration (in the Dept. of Commerce) asking that the transfer be delayed until Congress can vote on this issue as it was not part of the House or Senate votes this week.
Suggested contacting leadership MCCONNELL AND COYNYN TO LET THE KNOW YOU WANT NTIA TO DELAY TRANSFER AND A VOTE IN SENATE.
That is the best we can do for now...I will be leaving comments with them as well as House Leadership...
