Donald Trump Details ‘America-First’ Energy Plan
Breitbart ^ | September 22, 2016 | ALEX SWOYER

Posted on 09/24/2016 2:54:47 PM PDT by NYer

Donald Trump detailed his energy plan, which he previously mentioned during his speech on the economy at the Detroit Economic Club in August, on Thursday in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

“I am going to lift the restrictions on American energy, and allow this wealth to pour into our communities – including right here in Pennsylvania,” Trump stated while speaking to more than 1,000 gas industry experts.

Citing the Institute for Energy Research, Trump suggested that lifting energy restrictions such as shale production would produce more than 500,000 new jobs every year and raise the GDP by more than $100 billion each year.

He also says lifting the restrictions would raise wages over the next seven years, increase tax revenues, and generate economic activity.

Trump promised to unlock “shale oil and gas, and the energy technologies of both today and tomorrow.”

He continued:

We have just begun, as a nation, to recognize our economic advantage that is made possible by shale energy. The Shale Energy Revolution will unleash massive wealth for American workers and families.

He presented an “America-First” energy plan by opening oil and gas production on federal lands and off shore. He said he would revoke policies that restrict innovative technologies.

The Republican nominee suggested his “energy revolution” would create an increased demand for steel production as well.

Speaking near coal country, Trump also promised to end the war on coal.

“I will rescind the coal mining lease moratorium, excessive Interior Department stream rule, and conduct a top-down review of all anti-coal regulations issued by the Obama Administration,” he vowed.

Trump also said he would eliminate the “Waters of the US” rule “and scrap the $5 trillion dollar Obama-Clinton Climate Action Plan and the Clean Power Plan – these unilateral plans will increase monthly electric bills by double-digits without any measurable improvement in climate.”

“My environmental agenda will be guided by true specialists in conservation, not those with radical political agendas,” Trump concluded. “It will be a future of conservation, of prosperity, and of great success.”

DJT needs to make NYS allow fracking...

Given the mess in which Cuomo now finds himself, that may very well happen.

Thank you for referencing that article Nyer. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Noting that I will gladly Vote Trump, please consider the following.

”… lifting energy restrictions ..."

Patriots need to get constitutionally low information Trump into the habit of checking every action and regulation of the unconstitutionally big federal government against the fed’s constitutionally limited powers, Section 8 of Article I a good place to start.

Trump also needs to check who owns the property that the shale, for example, is being taken from. My concern is that if the land is privately owned or owned by the state, then I don’t see any constitutional clause that gives the feds power to regulate shale production if the shale is not sold outside the state.

Corrections, insights welcome.

And if the land belongs to the feds then Trump needs to check if the feds either bought the land according to the terms of Clause 17 of Section 8, or the eminent domain clause of the 5th Amendment.

And if it turns out that the feds own the land as a condition of statehood, then Trump needs to check the constitutionality of the condition.

The bottom line is this, Trump has to politically force the corrupt feds to surrender all 10th Amendment-protected powers that the feds have stolen from the states back to the states. If he doesn’t, then it’s only a matter of time before the corrupt feds wrongly use those powers again.

Tenth Amendment be damned? Agree or not, it's up to New York to allow or disallow. It's not a federal issue.

W VA just went Trump.

West Virginia went GOP years ago. Romney carried the state by 27% four years ago. I will be shocked if Trump doesn't do even better than that.

"Tenth Amendment be damned? Agree or not, it's up to New York to allow or disallow. It's not a federal issue."

Hypocritical fartknockers they are in NY aren't they. They will twist the 2nd Amendment to whatever they think it should be and it was covered in the Constitution, not by the 10th, and yet they will use the 10th against "us" at any chance they get, their is no consistency in their logic, other than the desire for total control. I revile them...
