For weeks we have been treated to "Its his right to free speech" as Colin Kaepernick and a few others have taken a knee for the National Anthem (or in the case of the Philadelphia Eagles, a black power salute by three players).
The NFL has backed these "protestors" even though the NFL has lost significant viewership, and hence, revenue, because of these antics. In addition, on a moral level, Kaepernick and company's "protest" has been on behalf of a hate group--black lives matter as well as other thugs who have called for murdering of policemen (several policemen have been killed because of it) groups who, on multiple occasions now, have engaged in rioting and looting in addition to hunting down whites in order to viciously assault them.
All through it I have been wondering-- what if someone in professional sports had protested in some way against black lives matter? What would happen to them?
Well wonder no more. Because now it has happened. MLB Mariner, Steve Clevenger, tweeted his dislike for black lives matter and the disgusting behavior of the rioters.So wnhat happened? Was there support for his free speech? No. Was there talk of his rights? Nope. Not even for second. He was fired almost immediately.

I no longer see a reason to give my time, attention, money or anything else to organziations that excercise PC double standards with regard to free speech. Goodbye NFL and MLB. And good riddance.
With your screen name perhaps you should wait until the end of the baseball postseason before starting your boycott? At least wait until the Cubs are out of it.
I feel you. I don’t buy stuff, don’t watch their channels, don’t use their apps. I remain, however, addicted to between the white lines. What Seattle did to the catcher, what ESPN did to Schilling, the NFL support of Kaepernick, it makes them reprehensible. But the games, the competition for three hours, soooo good.
Not watching the NFL has come effortlessly. Players celebrating like their won the SB after nearly every play, in-your-face lib politics and political correctness and double standards, Oct. pretty-in-pink month, and the whole cult-like atmosphere surrounding the game these days finally took its toll.
Proudly boycotting all sports since 1992, and have never looked back once (not one down, inning, play of anything) - I have 100s of better things to do.
I cannot even tell you what the team names are and what places they are supposed to be from.
I don’t “do” sports, so “boycott” isn’t possible. Screw ‘em.
I hear you...who has time to sit and watch a football or baseball game anyway. I flick through and notice the baseball stadiums are empty.
It is a shame you that you are taking this course, especially, if I understand your screen name, when the Cubs potentially could end their century of futility this year. I believe that the game of baseball is so much better than the people who run it, or even play it. But it is frustrating that liberals and political correctness muck up everything good, wholesome and traditional. (muck is a euphemism here). Before your go off all half cocked, I would be willing to give you dispensation this year, and allow you to take out your anger in a year when the Cubs are mediocre (which is pretty much 95% of the time).

He said “It’s the last pre-season game for Cubs tonight...Better come watch before they drop out of contention...”
I used to watch professional sports when I was young, but some years ago I grew out of the habit. I really haven’t watched any sporting event all the way through in years. I have not watched the Superbowl in at least 15 years - and I don’t miss any of it one bit.
The NFL has become so BORING.
The behavior of a few thug players makes it so much easier to ignore. I may watch the Super Bowl and a playoff game or two but that’s about it.
i don't know where you're looking but if it's not Miami, Philly Atlanta or Tampa, you're looking too early. Paid attendance for most teams is VERY high.

I don't watch baseball anyway, but I have stopped watching the NFL.
I know what you mean Mr. Mojo.......we swore off football years ago when players and owners went to obscene pay and expensive playpens that the regular Joe on the street helped make happen through votes for them, then can’t afford to go to the games!!! We DID watch Peyton Manning super bowl victory and were glad to see him go out on top and we do watch the Texans but that’s the extent of it.......and we watch them on TV.......wouldn’t pay a dime to see them in person.......;)
Glad to see I’m not alone. I like football season, since the gym isn’t very crowded during games. Why watch other men get exercise when I can get some exercise myself?
I feel better and look better when I exercise regularly.
This is a front row seat to what the government would do with hate speech laws.
I hope this really hurts their pocketbook.
