Kathleen Kennedy arranged for Alan Shepard’s Mercury capsule Friendship 7 to be removed from the Naval Academy, where it had been since 1998, and taken to the Kennedy Library this year. Shepard attended the Academy and arranged for the capsule to be placed there. I asked a staffer what happened to Friendship 7? “Kathleen Kennedy stole it!” she replied.

And I know that. I have seen Freedom 7 many times. I was looking at the Wikipedia article as I typed the post. But for some reason my fingers typed Friendship instead.
