Poll: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton tied across battleground states
CBS ^ | September 18, 2016

Posted on 09/18/2016 8:10:48 AM PDT by SMGFan

The race across the combined battlegrounds is as tight as can be, tied 42 percent to 42 percent.  Clinton was up one point last week, and was up two points back on Labor Day weekend. Voters in these states are still looking for change, while the partisan divide remains particularly deep.

Fifty-five percent of battleground voters want to see “big changes” in the nation’s politics and economy in the next few years. Forty-three percent want “some changes” and only 2 percent think things are fine and not in need of much change. Trump leads by a wide margin on being trusted to change Washington: Forty-seven percent trust Trump to do it, 20 percent trust that Clinton can do it. Nine percent of independents trust Clinton can change Washington. Only 47 percent of Democrats trust Clinton to change Washington. A similar 41 percent of Democrats trust neither candidate to do it.

“This CBS News 2016 Battleground Tracker is a panel study based on 4202 interviews conducted on the internet of registered voters in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin. The margin of error is 1.9%.”

Guess among likely voters Trump does even better? Who aren’t likely voters? Blacks in VA, WI, OH, PA, MI, FL , and NC dislike HRC?

Did you read their methodology? 20 waves including that battleground state California. Participated is online, no breakdown of registration.
Oh by the way, one wave from September 2-6 before the Hillary collapse.
This is again another junk science poll like global warming.

Throw it away.

I don’t believe that’s what this poll is saying... If you go by your assumption, then GA, NC, AZ, FL are also tossups.... The 42-42 is an aggregate across all “battleground” states

I read down to the crap that voters trust her more to handle the day-to-day job of POTUS—then clicked back to FR for refreshing honesty.
How can anybody trust that evil *****???!!!

Yep, and when you throw in CA??? Come on. No, CA won’t be as big a dem victory as in the past but it will sure skew a sample.

We live in the liberal enclave of Western Washington, and even here there are very little outward signs of support for the Hildabeast. Even the women at the beauty salon where my wife goes are all in for Trump, which is very weird considering their previous support for the Kenyan Usurper.

A year ago, this would have been interesting, but at this point in the election cycle, aggregated polls like this are meaningless. The only thing that matters now are the individual swing-state polls.

And when you take an aggregated poll of registered voters, again, at this stage, instead of likely voters, you are probably trying to push something.

Oh, a CBS poll? We know what they're pushing. She's sick, crazy and dangerous, and if this is the best CBS can do, it is because she has actually fallen well behind in the individual swing-state polls.

You are correct in that is a poll across the 13 states.
But in the past they have used other states.

snip

HOW THE POLL WAS CONDUCTED AND THE MARGIN OF ERROR CALCULATED

The CBS News 2016 Battleground Tracker is a panel study based on interviews conducted on the
internet of registered voters in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North
Carolina, New Hampshire,Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, California, Illinois,
Indiana, New Jersey, New York, SouthCarolina, and Texas. The poll was conducted by YouGov,
an online polling organization.

The most recent wave interviewed registered voters on September 14-16, 2016 in thirteen
battlegroundstates (Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio,Pennsylvania, Virginia,
and Wisconsin).

If he wins, this thing will go global. There are Trump-like figures in many countries. They are all held back by a barrier erected by entrenched establishment in their country, even though they are gaining. His win will punch a big hole into the barrier.

That is another reason Establishment is hell-bent on stopping him.
