The hunt for food started at 4 a.m., when Alexis Camascaro woke up to get in line outside the supermarket. By the time he arrived, there were already 100 people ahead of him.
Camascaro never made it inside. Truckloads of Venezuelan troops arrived in the darkness, arresting him and nearly 30 others seemingly pulled from the queue at random, according to his lawyer. Camascaro, 50, was charged with violating laws against interfering "directly or indirectly" with the production, transportation or sale of food. He has been in jail for three months, awaiting a hearing.

If he has been fed in Jail, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
But knowing this is socialist hell hole, he is probably starving...
Hey WaPo, THIS is what happens when commie policies you support get to play out to its meaningful end. Idiots.
Coming soon to an Earth near you.
Venezuelan ‘elites’ have decided to blame the people. I’m sooooo surprised./s
Oh, this is because of the law against standing in line to buy food.
They’re going to come up with a law against eating.
On a beach vacation!
Hey Sean Penn, Rob Reiner, Cher, and the rest of the Commie libs..move to magnificent Socialist Utopia Venezuela, where buying food is criminal and you have to wait HOURS in line for toilet paper..come on Celebs, you love Socialism so much, see how long you last..I say celebs would last 2 hours tops before crying to come home
After reading the article, it appears that Venezuela has made it illegal to stand in line at a grocery store outside of normal business hours. They assume anyone who does so is buying in bulk to resell on the black market.

You forgot BS....Barbara Striesand.....
What was the name of their dictator was it Hugo Chavez?
Or who was it?
Who was the dictator that all the libtards were salivating over when he came to the US to tell us how bad our country is(a few years ago)
I would be Publica Enemy Numero Uno
These people deserve everything they have allowed. I avert my gaze.
The food cost of banquets and dinner parties was limited. Really put a crimp into the size of weddings.
It was a lot from the cheap supermarket. Took three trips.
Somehow I suspect that the decision to arrest Camascaro was made before he got on line, and the line was a convenient place to make the arrest. Or perhaps there were government informants in the line, watching for people who made any anti-government remarks.
Well he might get fed in jail...
Oh yeah almost forgot Jew Hating Babs, who calls Trump supporters clowns..hates borders but has a HUGE wall over her Malibu mega mansion..and let’s not forget how she doesn’t allow peasants to go on HER beach
Remember this when it happens here and your family is starving.
Really like the pope does not want a wall.
Well, well........
I agree with Wendle. These people wanted Chavez and Maduro and it’s up to them to remove Maduro and the socialists. If we tried to help them we’d just be hated for being imperialists or anti-revolutionaries or something so Wendle is right that the only thing we can do is look away if it bothers us.
Sometimes we have to realize that the best way to help someone is to not help them at all. They need to figure this out for themselves.
