A major pollster has some stark news: Americans trust and confidence in the mass media to report the news fully, accurately and fairly has dropped to its lowest level in Gallup polling history, with 32 percent saying they have a great deal or fair amount of trust in the media. This is down eight percentage points from last year, writes Art Swift, an analyst for the Gallup poll, which first asked the nation to weigh in on the press in 1972.
...
Republicans who say they have trust in the media has plummeted to 14 percent from 32% a year ago. This is easily the lowest confidence among Republicans in 20 years, the analyst noted.
Among Democrats, the number is 51 percent, among independents, it is 30 percent.

The Ministry of Propaganda is not trusted?
I’m shocked, I tell you........
Interesting. If you were running a news organization what would you do? Would you care? Is there a downside?
There are still 32% who are complete dolts who do not know they are being manipulated.
Exactly! Uh. DUUUUH!!!
If it’s being reported in the MSM it’s probably a fraction of that.
No wonder these same media outlets are joining together to sever alternate sources of news from the public.
Independents 30 percent.
Nail meet coffin. This is great news!!
Just keep punching. No knockout blow attempt, leaves your chin unguarded.
Doesn’t mean you can’t exchange heavy punches here and there!
Sugar Ray Leonard from here till the end. Up on points, keep adding to them.
Less than 1/7th of Republicans think the media is trustworthy.
I can think of no more accurate analysis of liberal media bias than this.
Media’s response:
“We’re mad as hell... and we’re not going to take it anymore from you viewers! You’re deplorable peasants and no one cares what you think!”
Does anyone in the media read this stuff?
That’s pretty Racist of to you to Assume members of the Media can read. Hell most of them have a hard time speaking clearly
They don’t care. They are first and foremost pushers of the democrat progressive agenda. It’s why they became “journalists” in the first place. They would never have graduated if they didn’t tow the line.
Plus, with Fox going left, where is anyone going to go? There is no alternative media other than the internet, and that could be history if the left has its way.
If they ever get tired of losing money and ratings, all they have to do is start covering the corruption of the Democrats.
I know that RATS are dumb, but even they aren't that dumb. Highly doubt this 51% figure. It's probably a push poll number.
So, 32% are complete idiots? Sounds about right.
"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
It's nice to know that even with their constant indoctrination and reeducation the last eight years, that the American people are finally waking up.
Journalism is negative: If it bleeds, it leads, Man Bites Dog, not Dog Bites Man (unusual things are very often things we do not happen).Journalists none the less claim that all journalists are objective. Which means that journalists claim that negativity is objectivity. There is a name for that conceit: cynicism. As well as being the air journalists breath, cynicism is inherent in the socialist critique. No matter how much progress society makes, the socialist declares it insufficient and claims that if they are in charge things will be better. Except that when they are in charge, things do not get better, for the simple reason that socialists take charge of things which they have no expertise in. And then - Surprise, surprise! - the standard is not the results, but their good intentions are all that matter. This is cynicism.
Consequently, it is no surprise that socialists tend to trust journalists, and conservatives tend not to. Socialists and journalists are birds of a feather.
As it should.
