Asylum seekers from Syria, Iraq and other war-torn states who are registered as refugees and receive social benefits in Germany do not hesitate to opt for a vacation in their war-ravaged countries, a German media report has discovered.
The information was unveiled by the outlet Die Welt am Sonntag, citing its own investigation. The inquiry included testimonies from registered asylum seekers in Germany who are entitled to so-called HARTZ-IV social benefits. Some of them confirmed to the newspaper that they traveled for a short period of time back to countries like Syria, Afghanistan or Lebanon.
The paper reports that the situation has been witnessed in Berlin, but it is alleged that similar things are occurring in other Federal States of Germany.
There are such cases, an unnamed spokesperson for the German Federal Employment Office (BA) confirmed to the publication. The representative, however, stressed that no official numbers are available.
We do not conduct any analysis or statistics on this subject and therefore we do not have any information, the source added. The body is now trying to figure out the number of refugees opting for such a vacation in their homeland.
According to the current rules applying to asylum seekers claiming social benefits in Germany, they are eligible to leave the country for a total of 21 days per year. Migrants however are not obliged to report to authorities where they are traveling, but merely when and for how long.

I predicted that they would be furnished round trip tickets to Mecca.
Can’t they just not let them come back? Refugees?
So they’re refugees in the sense that they’re not really refugees.
Of course they could, if they wanted to. But as long as they believe they will vote for leftests, they will be welcomed in with open arms by leftests. Even if their own children will be the victims of this poor decision.
Then it looks like hijra afterall
Refugees that take vacations in the countries they left.
Sure.
Western democracies are such suckers. They import refugees from completely different cultures and then assume they will behave to conform with Western culture. All in the name of diversity!
Europe needs to get their asses in gear before they lose their asses.
Well, of course! One has to keep one’s bomb making skills up-to-date or one will get rusty.
And so do we.
You can’t make this stuff up!
It is quite normal for intelligence officers to check back with HQ to be debriefed.
It’s also quite normal for poor, starving, destitutes to VACATION to the supposedly war ravaged, oppressive, hell holes that they “escaped” from a few months ago.
You can’t make this stuff up!
Once you cross the line and they approve your visa....you aren’t a refugee or migrant anymore. You get a visa and can come and go.
I do agree....this will make the ‘war’ as part of the reasoning to allow them to stay....seem like a ‘non-war’. You don’t go and vacation in a war-zone.
But eventually, the leadership in Berlin will change out and the folks will rewrite this whole visa business.
This isn’t even new.
There have been reports for years where asylum seekers not only take vacations “at home”, but where they actually sue to have these trips funded by the taxpayer. On “human rights” grounds (family visits, bla bla bla). Successfully.
Refugee-
another word in the modern day lexicon that’s lost all its meaning.
Not really refugees in fear of their lives if they are vacationing back to their homelands.
They could but they won’t.
I used to work in a job where I would see the passports of settled refugees living in Europe. Saw lots of Somalis with regular travel to Kenya. (From where they of course journeyed on to Somalia without further passport stamps )
It’s worth noting that the poorest and most desperate people are not the bulk of “refugees” arriving in Europe. It’s the the middle class, or at least better off, in these countries who can afford to pay the people smugglers.
