Kaine has to be just a placeholder, correct?!

I do not understand his nomination other than he is easily kicked to the curb.

Read this.

The DNC would make the choice, but Biden, if he were picked, would certainly have some input.

Doesnt it pretty much have to be Sanders?

He was #2 of those running for the position. He may have been running as a lackey but his name is on the paperwork.

It could be any 35 yo natural born citizen. The Constitution is clear that the Electors are assumed to be wise, and their word is law, unless they do not agree by majority on a single person.

The Constitution does not even specify that there be a popular election for POTUS. At all. Your state has the right to, for example, pick Electors by lot.

The writers of the Constitution required a general election for the presidency. The electors and the vote of the population are not contradictory concepts.

Great. Biden has had the air let into his brain from two different aneurysm surgeries. The DNC is jumping out of the frying pan and into Satan’s fire.

Biden is a goofball--but he is not so utterly corrupt and disliked as Hildebeast.

The question becomes this: How solid is the hold of the Clintonese Crime Family on the DNC?

I have been reflecting over the past couple of weeks about all of the blather that the Sanders Insurgency has changed the Democratic Party. But I see no evidence that he got what he wanted in the Platform. His minions did not take important positions in the DNC. The DNC has, until now, been subservient to the Clintons.

Do the Clintons have enough blackmail material to keep the DNC in line. The power brokers will panic if they think that Hillary will fail.

As someone said on another thread--remember the New Jersey Senate race in 2002. Torricelli had to hit the eject switch and Frank Lautenberg was rolled out of retirement.

All of that said, how does Joe Bite-me pull together a national campaign within 60 days of Election Day?

Kaine has the VP nomination and he would have no reason to withdraw his name.

Well if Morris predicts something we know what the outcome will be.

He doesn't necessarily have to be a place holder, but he could be.

And as your post concludes with reassurance,

“It will be a landslide for Trump so the name change on the Democrat ticket will be nothing more than an academic formality.”

True. She will stay in to the end. She will probably cancel the debates.

“All of that said, how does Joe Bite-me pull together a national campaign within 60 days of Election Day?”

The DNC would back him with cash, largely the cash that Clinton has already raised for the DNC.

A big chunk, if not all of the cash the Clinton campaign has would go to Biden.

Biden/Kaine and Obammy would be out every day campaigning for them. He has done little for Hillary.

The writers of the Constitution did not require a general election for the presidency. According to the Constitution, the state legislatures choose the presidential electors. Starting in the early 19th Century, legislatures began letting the people choose the electors. By 1844, only South Carolina still had the legislature choosing electors, and that ended in 1868.

What about Bernie? If they don’t, they still won’t attract his supporters.

“Hillary could be in a comma brain dead and wouldn’t drop out.”

Democrats have to decide if they want to join the coverup or if they want to save their own skin.

They could get wiped out in the house and senate if they say she is great and she continues to have public episodes.

Look, she is headed for defeat anyway. The polls don’t look good for her and she is not bouncing back in her condition.

Replacing her now may not get them the whitehouse but at least they won’t have to lie and then lose all credibility when she drops dead.
