Norway is accepting far fewer Iraqi and Afghan asylum seekers than other countries in Europe, a new report from Klassekampen shows.
The newspaper looked at 2016 statistics from the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) and the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) and found major differences in asylum approval rates.
While EASO showed that an average of 60 percent of Iraqis and 47 percent of Afghans who sought asylum between January and July were approved, those numbers are at just ten percent and 25 percent respectively in Norway.
UDI said in June that asylum numbers had plummeted by 95 percent in the first four months of 2016.
Norway, a country of 5.2 million, is not a member of the EU, but it is a member of Europe's Schengen zone, whose internal borders have been scrapped.

Build a wall and let asylum seekers pay for itl.
I think if all of the European countries had a deal in the mix that if you were playing the asylum card....you have to go and live in some rural out-back village in the middle of nowhere for two years...that would stop about 90-percent of the people hyped up to come in. It would also start to force everyone who did take the challenge....to get used to the language barrier...integrate faster....and forced to participate as a local.
So, you’re saying that Norwegians are sane?
Zero is the ideal outcome. Their daughters will thank them.
I suspect this is why NATO is trying to control Poland, the Baltics, Ukraine and eventually Russia. To have another place to send the islamic hordes.
Norway should find a nice island in the Norwegian or Barents Seas, perhaps around Nordkapp in their far north. That would be where they “resettle” any terrorists that Merkel wants to force on them. My bet is that the thugs would go back home to fight their own neighbors rather than sitting somewhere north of the Arctic Circle, where there is no one to kill or even rape.
Keeping weasels in your hen house is NOT a good idea.
The Norwegian asylum rate is of some interest.
The number I’m most interested in, however, is their Removal rate.
How many invaders who are denied asylum are actually removed?
Also of interest would be estimates for how many invaders, once denied, leave on their own accord. Also, what if any public benefits do refused-asylum-seekers get?
Also, approving 60 percent of Afghan asylum seekers is 60 percentage points higher than it should be. The correct number is zero. No Afghan who breaks into Norway did so without crossing through at least a handful of safe countries. They are economic migrants. All of them.
Lock them up. Kick them out. Military flights direct from prison back to Afghanistan.
