Fixated on Reagan huh? If the Reagan operation was already pursuing a deal with Mexico also, it wouldn’t have taken from 1985 to 1993 to ink an agreement bringing them in. This was one-upmanship on the part of Bush senior—the Bush foisted upon Reagan by the Republican party as a running mate.

Cozy connections exist between the many generations of the Bush family and Mexico—perhaps more than the obvious trade agreement history?

“If?” Don’t give me that revisionist crap. He inked the deal with Canada, and announced his intention to expand it to Mexico. Bush simply followed-through. Seriously, before you inflict your opinions about trade (and Reagan) on the rest of us, study the subjects.

I’m for the complete Elimination of the corporate tax on profits derived from activies in this country. You build the car here, you pay no income tax on the sale. You build it in china, you pay income tax. I believe that the re-expansion of America’s manufacturing base would be dramatic.

Conservatives and Liberals alike should want the country to have the most attractive business environment in the world. More jobs, more income taxes and spending as well as less government spending on entitlement programs.

But instead we want to raise taxes and cap executive pay, because surely that will help things.

Term limits should be required for congress as the representation was supposed to be ‘serving’ one’s district at home and not to make a lifetime career out of it.

Congressional compensation should be based on a formula that includes GDP growth and unemployment rate and should be paid out of the respective state’s treasury.

Lobbyists should be put out of business and made illegal. Those that continue this obscene activity should be jailed, along with the Congress member who is on the receiving end.
