The more power the left gets the more they want. They want to completely eliminate the opposition. It has been obvious for several years.

I will miss her also. The only fair newscaster I can name. Neither left nor right but logical and factual. Great is what the news is suppose to be.

Why take out the great freedoms this country was founded on?

Because they don't want the citizens to have freedom. They're convinced that their ideas are better than anyone else's so they want to force their socialism/liberalism on everyone - the operative word being "force." They cannot be compromised with. They cannot be bargained with. They cannot be reasoned with. Their beliefs are not based on logic or experience, but an inner sense of "feel good" that trumps all rational thought. They have no pity or remorse for lives and livelihoods that they destroy - those are all just collateral damage on the road to their utopia.

Never mind that EVERY TIME socialism has been tried it has produced nothing but poverty and misery. It'll be different this time because THEY'RE in charge. They never rest they never stop each destruction of our rights is "a good first step."

The only way to deal with them is to utterly defeat them.

“”Where are the republicans on this?”

AS long as the keep getting establishment campaign contributions, kickbacks and cushy post politics jobs they couldn’t care less.”

They’ll keep getting the contributions, kickbacks and cushy jobs...until the Dems/Leftists complete their takeover of power, and then they’ll either convert over (like the “ex-” Nazis did in East Germany and other countries when the Soviets took over) or be sent to re-education camps.

These idiots are feeding their closest rivals to the alligator, so that they get eaten last.

LEFTER. They are already largely in the tank against Trump (and, thus, the Constitution).

Some strategies to use:

Eliminate the nonprofit status of nonbusiness entities. Since the early 20th Century, tax free foundations have worked steadily to move universities and public education leftward. They have funded leftist causes from the ACLU to Black Lives Matter. Of course, churches would lose this status too, but this is a small price to pay if it drives up the cost of leftist billionaires funding the destruction of traditional values and norms.

Break up monopolies in communications, finance, banking, and industry. I know this isn't free market purism, and the ghosts of Milton Friedman and Ludwig Von Mises would disapprove. However, the grip that leftist billionaires like Bill Gates and George Soros wield is detrimental to our country's future. The bailout of 2008 is the result of such influence.

Build a Trump type big wall to prevent regulators to slip seamlessly into the industries they regulate or which supplies an agency or the armed services. There should be a 5 year minimum hiatus for any civil servant or military member to cross over to a related private sector job. That should extend to 10 or more years for executive level civilian or high ranking military.

Eliminate student loans guaranteed by the Federal government. The leftist higher education establishment needs to be starved out.

Cease all Federal funding to city, county, or state governments that are sanctuaries. No police, health, education, highway, or other funding.

The problem with leftists removing our freedoms is that there are NEVER any consequences to them. Take gun control as an example - some odious piece of gun control legislation passes we lose something. BUT if it doesn’t pass what do they lose? Nothing. Or conversely some piece of gun control is repealed they again lose nothing. There has to be a way to bring consequences to the jackasses who want us all to live in a totalitarian police state, but I haven’t been able to think of any that are both effective and legal.

The best way to legally effect consequences is to cut off or weaken the funding sources for leftist institutions, groups and individuals. Just to cite one example, if George Soros were required to pay taxes on his contributions to his foundation, essentially a money laundering scheme to fund money for leftist causes, and the foundation itself were subject to a 37% income tax on the contributions, net of operating expenses, that would effectively reduce the income stream to leftist groups by 50% or more.

PRESUME? Goodman. like the rest of ‘em, can’t even vocalize our *norm*: a R-E-P-U-B-L-I-C, not some democracy (he whole damn reason we’re in the fix we are in today).

As others have stated, kill off illegality in D.C. (pensions, PACs, exemption-from-Law, etc.), then watch how the tune changes.

Eliminate student loans guaranteed by the Federal government. The leftist higher education establishment needs to be starved out.

The underlying factor that makes people go to college for worthless degrees, is that businesses use the fact of "having a degree" as a proxy for "is the applicant at least minimally literate". This is because businesses are forbidden from using tests which have "disparate impact" (have a pass rate for blacks which is lower than for whites).

Give prospective employers the right to issue written aptitude tests (as they used to before the 1971 Duke Power case), and suddenly having an "accredited" college degree becomes much less relevant for your job prospects. You could even have standardized industry-wide tests, performed by an independent testing outfit, whose scores could be used by employers.
