Trump's hard-line stance on immigration may hurt the GOP for generations to come (LA Slimes alert)
Los Angeles Slimes ^ | September 4, 2016 | Doyle McManus

Posted on 09/04/2016 11:21:08 AM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Donald Trump’s passionate revival last week of his hard-line stance on immigration looks more and more like a political disaster for the Republican nominee and his party.

Trump’s angry speech in Arizona, in which he promised to deport not only criminal aliens but millions of other immigrants living in the country illegally, prompted at least three members of his Hispanic Advisory Council to resign. It instantly became fodder for Democratic efforts to mobilize millions of Latino voters in swing states such as Florida and Nevada. And it probably didn’t convince many undecided voters that Trump can be a unifying force in a deeply divided country.

But winning undecided moderates may not have been Trump’s goal. Instead, his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, said on CNN that the speech was aimed principally at “white males,” to ensure “he has locked them in.”

If true wouldn’t the LA Times be encouraging Trump rather then “warning him off”?

Doyle McManus and the rest of the MSM are writing Trump’s immigration stand is a political disaster for the GOP.

OK, Concern Troll McManus, why does Trump have a lead in your own poll?

If the American people wanted amnesty, they would be voting for Hillary Clinton. Its that simple.

Yes, because unrestricted illegal immigration will be so great for the GOP for generations to come.

The Los Angeles Times will be the last entity on the planet to admit the illegal alien problem cost the Democrats, when Trump addressed it head on.

Lets recall that the Los Angeles Times was so pro ( /s ) U. S. at one point back in the 80s or 90s, they bought LA Opinion to hedge their bets.

If the region reverted back to full blown Mexican, they had it covered. If it didn’t, they still had the Times.

If the 9.0 quake does ever come, I hope it is centered directly beneath the L. A. Times building, that a major fissure opens up, and it’s the last we ever see of that filthy organization

More lies from the commies down at the LaLa Slimes. Republicans AND Americans like myself do not have a problem with IMMIGRATION. Our problem is with illegal alien invaders sneaking into our country to take a whack at the BIG Pinata and then riding on the backs of U.S. taxpayers while sending our dollars “home” to south of the border. As for the GOP being hurt for generations, the GOP is on its way out. This is their last generation anyway. Americans are going to start a new party so the “democrats” will have a little competition at the polls and Americans will have a real “choice” about who their “leaders” are.

“If true wouldn’t the LA Times be encouraging Trump rather then “warning him off”?”

Eggsactly.

Trump’s hard-line stance will hurt the GOP as stated... with the drug cartel, human trafficker and MS13 gang member constituency.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the most forceful speech on the topic came from a pollster, Whit Ayres, who all but fell to his knees and begged Republicans to pass comprehensive reform.

Ayres' case should sound familiar by now: 71 percent of Latino voters pulled the lever for President Obama in 2012, according to CNN's exit polls (other estimates put Obama's margin even higher), and the Latino share of the electorate is growing rapidly. Unless the GOP changed immediately, Ayres claimed, they faced a disaster of Biblical proportions in which demographically unstoppable liberals would destroy every last vestige of American life that Republicans hold dear.

California is not going to go Trump so I could give a rat’s rear end what McManus thinks.

The rest of the country saw his Arizona speech as a home run.

If the thought of President Trump petrifies McManus, well its too late to do anything about it.

Running interference for Hillary hasn’t stemmed her free fall in the polls.

And its not Trump facing political disaster on Labor Day.

Actually, Trump’s immigration policy will throw the wrench in the works for the Left who sees these immigrants as ripe for turning into dependents and supporters of the Democratic Party. They will become the used voters they have made the Blacks become in what I call social slavery. It is from the same playbook—from the party of the KKK. This dependency is the same as the drug addictions that the Democrat powers also use for their own benefit in money and power. I am connecting dots here, folks. Connect the dots. Always.

“Enforcing the law” is a racist position.

The ONLY things ‘enforceable’ are PC ‘feelings’. Say the “N” word and you'll lose your job... encourage illegals to get away with murder (literally) and you're hunky dory OK...

If that was true, Jeb should have been the GOP nominee today.

He was the most forceful advocate of amnesty in the GOP.

Jeb never even obtained 1% for his amnesty stand.

Someone is lying. And Trump’s secure borders position is supposed to be a political liability?

That’s not reflected in the polls.
