The National Monument scam must be brought to an end. It's like they are competing to see who can make more of America off limits to citizens.

No way that a President should have declarative power, not subject to review of approval, to alter land use in this way.

Coming soon to a place near home (if you live in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, etc.).

A lot of this is revenge for these places voting against him.

Trump should make Central Park a National Monument and take control of it away from the City of New York. Hey, it's the last wild space on the island!

Certainly not conservation of tax-payer money.

How positively marxist of him. Like the fedgov doesn’t lord over enough real estate as it is.

Outside of military and critical infrastructure, the feds shouldn’t own or control ANY real property outside of their patch of land as alloted by the states, otherwise known as the District of Columbia.

Even then, the feds should only be allowed to LEASE property in the states, and the state have final say on terms of said lease arrangements.

Teddy Roosevelt’s petrified crap is to be more admired than Obama - and I say that AFTER losing a lot of my respect for him because he was the first “progressive” President.

Sorry, Obama on his best day could not lick FDR’S shoes clean. FDR carried a burden during W.W. II Obama could not imagine.

I did not read close enough I thought he talking about FDR not Teddy. I doubt in today’s 24 hour media cycle Teddy could get elected.

"Since taking office, I've protected stolen more than 548 million acres of our lands and waters for from our children and our grandchildren. I have to say that Teddy Roosevelt gets the credit blame for starting the National Parks system, but when you include a big chunk of the Pacific Ocean, we now have actually done more acreage damage than any other President.

The WH needs a new proofreader.

1. It's not called a "presidency" when an ineligible usurper seizes power.

2. These terrible eight years had nothing to do with conservation - just destruction.

Central Park was man-made, the land it is on was originally a dump.

“Teddy Roosevelt’s petrified crap is to be more admired than Obama - and I say that AFTER losing a lot of my respect for him because he was the first “progressive” President.”

I think “Progressive” meant something different in Teddy’s day than it does today, just say’n.
