Dj is nearly always right on politics, but it is possible to have two Democrats competing in the December runoff election in LA. From such a crowded field, it is hard to say how the final numbers will develop. It is likely that Campbell and Fayard combined will nearly match Mrs. Bill’s LA total.

I would say this Kennedy is not cheap labor. Both this Kennedy and current Senator Bill Cassidy (R) voted for John Forbes Kerry in 2004.

Maness is Tea Party, very conservative, and supported Vitter for governor in 2015. He is not drawing enough at this time to compete in the December finals.

Boustany is a nephew by marriage of the other Edwards, former Governor Edwin Edwards. I believe he is also a cousin of Victoria Reggie Kennedy of MA.

Kennedy supported Vitter for governor, who then lost to the current Edwards, “John Bel”, he is called. Kennedy had run against Vitter for senator in 2004 as a Democrat.

Fayard only has a decent bank account going for her, she’s second only to Kennedy, who has the most $$. Fleming and Campbell have roughly the same amount, in the 900k range. Oddly, Boustany is listed as not having any money, though perhaps he hasn’t reported in yet. The Dems have an even shot at getting one into the runoff, though they’re going to have to decide which one to go with (Campbell is probably a better bet). Kennedy will have the establishment support, so unless he’s completely ripped apart in the next 2 months, he is likely to get the top runoff slot.

Maness should withdraw and endorse Fleming. Of course, if it ends up a runoff between Fleming and Kennedy, Kennedy would get the Dem vote. Rarely does a Conservative prevail in such a contest (Jeff Landry in the AG race being the sole example of to the contrary).

Duke and Maness and Kennedy also support Trump. I don’t know where Boustany stands on the presidential race.

Kennedy has a lead being a statewide elected official. I’d rather Sen. Vitter was running again.

You and me both, though I do like Fleming, but sadly he hasn't picked up traction in the early going. A strong debate performance could change that, I hope.

“This is not encouraging. John Fleming is the one to support if you value conservative values.”

Kennedy has very conservative values, has been implementing and pushing conservative values.

“Also, would someone pay David Duke to leave the country?”

He can go to Liberia.

I’m pretty sure I heard Maness on the radio last week affirming that he backs Trump.

Vitter erred badly in his race for governor: he never should have run. The defeat ended his political career. So he didn’t feel like running again for a third term in the Senate. Kennedy should have run for governor; then Vitter should have sought his third Senate term.

Plus there is no way Maness could be a backer of Mrs. Bill.

Now that the Feds “control” the federal level vote counts, I have read where Soros has plowed money into individual state elections. At this point, I don’t see how We the People are going to take back our country/states, not only due to election fraud, but also due to the large numbers of completely dumbed-down, drugged up, disinterested, ignorant electorate.

Not too long ago, I read an article where he said that Trump was not even his second or third choice.

I am sure he has moved around now. Too late for me.

So what? That makes him a decent loyal Republican (and that’s good) but it doesn’t make him a conservative.

He’s a recent (less than 10 years ago) former democrat and establishment RINO like most former democrats in LA. Significant downgrade from Vitter.
