Inspector General: IRS identified 1.1 million cases of The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) issued a report Tuesday which found the IRS had identified 1.1 million cases of employment-related identity theft since 2011 but failed to notify the victims. As the IG’s press release makes clear, TIGTA pointed out this same problem to the IRS in a previous audit:

ID theft should be a hanging offense
As far as I know, neither elected and appointed politician nor public employees are immune to RICO prosecutions.
If this conspiracy is not a RICO issue, I don't know what is.
MY ID was stolen had to stand in line at SS office forever and the SS lady that helped me (and filled me in on finding out where the IA was employed on my SS#) told me she also had her ID stolen. THIS is the CRIME that will help get more NICE ones exited.
They stopped issuing the no match Letters I heard. We need that so that victims could sue employers for negligence. Victims of ID theft should be permitted a negligence Tort and receive damages not to exceed 20K. Do u think the idea of a random hit by a trial lawyer in search of opportunities may not slow down hiring?

Where do we demand to know the statistics of the spread of the ZIKA virus attributable to illegal aliens?

A government's most important job is the protection of its Citizens.

My experience was that the IRS Atlanta office caught the theft of my SSN & notified me about the theft. The California IRS office sent me a demand notice for the thief’s Federal taxes.
One of the victims here.
Only found out when I filed and they told me I had already gotten a big refund (NOT!).
Took a year to clear it up, and the burden of proof was on me!
