We started to find out that people actually can get guns without a background check, said Daniel, who lives in Illinois, where all gun purchasers must pass a background check. As naive as I was back then, I thought because I go through a background check, everybody did. So we start to find out about all these loopholes that we have in our laws.
Since his sisters death, Daniel has pushed lawmakers to expand criminal background checks beyond licensed dealers to private sellers, such as those who advertise on Armslist. That is where Radcliffe found the seller of the gun he used in the mass shooting.

Feelings do not trump every citizens right to self defense.
Perhaps if he took his anger and focused it on the person and family of the murderer. You know the one with the evil intent.
If he’s so upset about his sister’s death, why isn’t he pushing lawmakers to make it illegal to kill people?
Well, as long as he “believes” and “feels” that UBCs should be done and “may” have saved his sis, who’s to argue?
Daniel, who owns a gun, said he was shocked that his late brother-in-law was able to buy a firearm despite a judges order prohibiting Radcliffe from possessing one.
My rights do not end because of your loss.
“Daniel, who owns a gun, said he was shocked that his late brother-in-law was able to buy a firearm despite a judges order prohibiting Radcliffe from possessing one.”
Proof that those who are determined to commit murder DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAW. What makes this moron think that adding a new law would prevent a murderer from getting a gun?
Because he “feels” that it would help.
Yep, taking the rights away from 300+ million people is the appropriate answer to this guy’s loss.
This is a scheme to trace back to the original gun owners and make them criminally and civilly liable for others violent actions.
Next will be the mandatory purchase of insurance on your guns and any guns you previously owned, to help minimize the financial damage from future civil lawsuits (backdoor registration and a gift to civil litigation attorney’s).
They are hell bent on making it so only the elite 1% will be able to afford to own any guns.
“But Rico, a former gang member and admitted criminal from Madison, told a reporter that he bought his guns, finding it easy to amass numerous high-powered weapons after he failed a background check by a licensed dealer. While Rico has bought some of his guns on the street, he also purchased weapons at gun shows. He asked that his full formal name not to be used because he described committing crimes that could subject him to prosecution.”
Sounds like a made up story and person. Why would a criminal would trust the criminal media with their name?
Here what they could do. Ban cash sales for guns and require a database for transactions. In WI there is a legal precedent for cash bans at pain clinics.
Maybe he should have put a stop to his brother in law beating up on his sister long before she was killed.
