Gunmen have stormed American University of Afghanistan in Kabul on Wednesday night as witnesses said they heard gunfire and explosions ringing out. According to media reports, the attackers have infiltrated the educational institution. Teachers and hundreds of students are said to be sheltering inside the building.

Is ‘sheltering inside the building’ the right way to go here?
Seems to me they could be sitting ducks for more “explosions and gunfire”.
Maybe dispersing as quickly as possible in all directions may be a better course of action.

The official line will be something like: “...no on had any idea that university could become a target...” or “.. the Afghan government assured us the University was safe from terror, and we didn’t want to meddle in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation...”
