That has been my take for some time.
I agree.
Now it’s 0.5%.
That sums it up well IMO.
If he takes votes from Hillary, he may just be ours this time around. LOL
A couple friends of mine are diehard libertarians. They are horrified by Johnson. When they learned he’d picked Bill Weld as his vp candidate, they were apoplectic.
Lotta weed, I’m thinking.
Tax all liberals first. Wait 10 years to see if it helped anything. Then we can debate the merits. As for now, stay the hell away from my Liberty!
The libtard strikes again
I hope he becomes Hillie’s competition for the carbon tax votes-the more the better...
My relatives in NM are voting for Trump-they say Gary was all for cutting taxes when he was governor-they’re appalled that he has done a 180 on a lot of things-one of my cousins is sure he has been bought by the enviro lobby or the Berniebots, and has become their little mascota-he does look a bit like a pet Chihuahua...
He is not even close to libertarian philosophy.
Clearly, Johnson is out of step with what we’ve come to think of as libertarianism — less government — but the idea of a “pollution tax” as an alternative to regulation was a libertarian “free market” idea a generation back, so he’s not as much of an outlier as it might at first appear.
That is good. More third party votes for Trump
Human emissions of CO[2], though, appear to be insignificant at best, making up a fraction of one percent of all the "greenhouse gases" in the atmosphere.
That's not true. But the effect of the human portion (40% of long last greenhouse gases) is mainly beneficial.
Just in case your “consistent conservative” friends question this article, here’s a link to a source article.
Johnson gives Marijuana a bad reputation. AGW - had to be high when he thought that one up!
This Mises article should stop your Libertarian friends in their tracks.
Mises Institute: Dear Gary Johnson, There Is No “Free-Market” Carbon Tax

>>This Mises article should stop your Libertarian friends in their tracks.
Does anything stop liberal-tarians in their tracks (other than a high velocity projectile)? They always “know” that they are not only right, but they are above mere politics.
Accepting the libtard abstract analytic conceptual framework is the first mistake. Thinking a tax is compatible with freedom and is part of the free market is the second mistake. Thinking that a tax would be beneficial is the third mistake.
We have four liberals running for President in this election.
Of the four - Trump is the only sane one.
Correction, deeply unpopular *to some*.See my earlier post.
Gary Johnson is an idiotic with a capital IDIOT. A carbon tax is an industry killer as well as a double-edged sword that the Democrats would use to tax individuals for their “carbon footprint” or “breath print”, aka, “breathing”.
Today’s Libertarians, for the most part, are no different from the Marxist leftists except that they use bigger words to pull the wool over the potential voters’ eyes.
